Proposing a status quo (sit back and do nothing, or worse add more guns) because you are too deep into the problem should be treated as unacceptable.

And constantly running back to a document that was written before light bulbs existed is also unacceptable.

With all due respects, your response does not speak to the main issue: Should citizens be allowed to have small guns , rifles and shotguns? The Constitution is not an element of this premise. Maybe city ordinances are all that need apply. Some may say yay, some may say nay. Like you and me. We make our own decisions.

All you are noting is EVERY group has disparate opinions. There are ultrarightwingnuts who want to overthrow the government by force but there are ordinary rightwingers who just want Biden gone, a bit of a difference, so why do you think liberals would be different, like everyone of them should be on exactly the same page.
All you have to do is look at the senate, dems should but totally united but there are assswipes DINO's like Manchin who actually donates to republican candidates for office.

So just accept NO group is one hundred percent on the same page.
It would OBVIOUSLY be better for the lives of children AND adults if there were no guns ANYWHERE but that is never going to happen so we have to compromise.
