I asked this question before and maybe got one reply, but since there's an active thread on the topic, I'll try again: should trans males be allowed to compete in sports?

In order to become a trans male the athlete would technically be using performance enhancing drugs. So should any sport that bans men from using PEDs allow trans males?

I specifically want responses from posters who support female trans athletes competing against other women.

Yes, compete against your own class. Classes should be clearly defined, like in boxing there are weight classes for men and women. If there is another category called trans then that should be a separate group. It really is a simple thing. Why all the confusion?

Well given that those hormone therapies would bring those trans males to or close to cis male levels I would trust the governing bodies of these sports to answer the question after testing the athlete in question. There is no valid moral dilemma, it’s just about fair competition
What colleges do is their business / problem but at a professional level where internationally anti doping standards are employed no trans women with a hormonal advantage would get to compete in a sport anyway

I don't think there's enough trans people to make a separate class for them.

Then they dont have a category. Thats tough. Many people dont have a category in which to compete. They just cannot participate.

Should trans males be allowed to compete?

I haven't decided this for sure but predict that some system will be developed in the future that will provide fairness with the other competitors.

What I have decided however is conservative America is framing this issue as a product of the liberal agenda, even though trans athletes existed for centuries before America was a nation.

I am not qualified to respond, as I do not know what a trans is. I will pass.

However, VIvify treads lightly into the realm of males competing with females in a female sport???
Help me Rhonda. You libs are truly faeries. Didn't say a word when I shoved my questions day iin and day out,,....Sonhouse, who was for male in women's swim event,, would not even RESPOND when I asked what. he would do were his daughter in the competition.
Then along comes another faerie who touches on ...'well, there should be separate classes'. Do you libs see how pitiful you are?

You authoritarians need to stop calling women men and men women.

You have to provide a venue for trans women to compete, otherwise, it *is* discrimination

Joe, the most important thing in this situation is that women get protection, which they do not have now.
Who cares if there is another division, so long as the women are not interfered with
