Looks like dimjim and the supreme Dimlard are not that unusual. The US does not do too well on IQ tests.

What scares me is the countries that score in the 60's.

Wait - I thought by definition the average IQ had to be 100. Those stats don't look like they'd give that result.

I'm not surprised you're sporting a woody over this book since its central premise is "the ethical responsibility of rich, high-IQ nations to financially assist poor, low-IQ nations, as it is the responsibility of rich citizens to assist the poor" -- socialism by any other name. You should instead look for a book that measures the correlation between poverty and the percentage of citizens who suck on the government teat for their sustenance.

The only thing IQ tests are good at is measuring the ability to take IQ tests.

Enabling people to have access (and freedom) to work for themselves is not socialism, it is free market capitalism.

You talk an incredible amount of bollocks.
All that would prove is that some States have better poverty nets than others... nothing to do with IQ. What-so-bloody-ever.

It uses previous IQ tests and as these are mainly done in developed countries it does skew the results. There are other factors as well.

So you're saying you believe that the IQs of people who people who work for a living are the same as those who sit around all day and collect benefits?
