Passion and emotion is the antithesis to logic. It is never justifiably logical to say something just to create a response out of people. In fact, that is the textbook definition of what a troll does.

The oil laws that they have forced on Iraq give US oil companies huge accesss and profits to exploiting the Iraqi oil fields. It will force Iraq to let the US oil companies control the oil for the next 30 years on terms no other middle east state would consider anything but robbery.
