I hardly think they're anywhere near intelligent.

I must disagree. Ever talk to someone that tested with a IQ below 90?

You can see teh stupit in their eyes.

China.....she is sitting out all of the world's conflicts; one in five of us is Chinese....she is building a huge economic surplus and investing in some serious military hardware. When she's ready, (after the Middle East/Israel/Us conflict, she will take Taiwan and the Koreas; ally with Russia or conquer it, and we could all be speaking Chinese in 50 years unless we all nuke each other into oblivion.

China is the one to watch.

Have you ever talked to anyone with an IQ above 130?
Tell me, do you notice a difference between them and talking to some with an IQ of 120, or 110, or 100?
I haven't.

That has absolutely nothing to do with my first statement, does it?
Your rhetorical question about a 10 point difference in IQ not being discernable through casual conversation was irrelevant and silly. What point were you trying to make?

WOW.....OK, I just looked up each of the words....prolix/argot/cloying/ in the dictionary.

My GAWD! What a beautiful combination of arcane terms....I am impressed!

Due to the derundement and contordity of your detrumescence, I must say that the equistatic conjunctioning factor of your seremescent contumely has left me degrontimated.

My point is that for a certain range of IQs, for which a lot of people are in, it is difficult to see any discernable difference in intelligence.

Yes that's true. But for a 30-40 point difference, it's easy to spot. I work with GATE students, (gifted and talented), who are 120+ IQ, and I also work with below normal classes, IQ 80-90 range. The difference in behaviour, capabilities, and potential is enormous.
Claiming that IQ tests only demonstrate an ability to take tests and mean nothing else is bogus. Psychometricians have worked on these tests for almost 100 years, and they have come a long way at determining a persons ability to succeed.

LOL!! Psychometricians are pseudo-scientists, in case you haven't noticed. They are completely unable to provide evidence for causality, only correlation.

You make it sound like they are Astrologists or Palm readers.
