@AverageJoe1 saidCan the mayor freeze the rent?
Please consider, regardless your philosophy of either concept, would it be healthy to insert such a conflict into this particular economy?
He makes unachievable promises, higher taxes. He has misrepresented what he can do, as he does not have the legal authority to do what he says.
The distribution of wealth would be controlled by the government???
The Mayor controls the Rent Guidelines Board, which votes every year on how much rents go up for over 2.4 million rent stabilized tenants. Mayor de Blasio told his appointees to freeze the rent 3 times in 2015, 2016, and 2020! The board is responsible for voting based on research and public testimony, but the Mayor has huge influence over the process.
@AverageJoe1 saidI'm pretty sure your "socialist" leader isn't half as socialist as you portray him to be.
Wonder if Shav and Zahlanzi have any idea.
Will the city-owned groc stores have 22 diff choices of peanut butter.? They will have one. The shelves will be closer to those of Cuba, which I have seen, than the shelves of present day USA grocers.
This socialist will suggest getting eggs at a dollar a dozen, but not take into consideration the shortages of supplier ...[text shortened]... ting. Frankly, it would be difficult to do so, given that their total thought process is free stuff.
Most socialists within a capitalist regime attempt to get better worker's rights, a slightly higher minimum wage, education affordable (so less tanks and bombers) and healthcare for all.
It's not like they're going to be going after your peanut bloody butter.
@shavixmir saidOh, really? While y'all eat meat and potatoes and bread, our citizens are extreme on healthy diet. Here is what you eat. Yuk. So don't knock our gluten free peanut butter. Note all the choices. You see, you just have...welllll, peanut butter.

Choices in USA: While there isn't a precise, publicly available count of every gluten-free cereal available in the USA, there are dozens of options from various brands. Many mainstream brands offer gluten-free versions of their popular cereals, and there are also numerous smaller, specialized brands focusing solely on gluten-free products.
Dutch General Food Culture:
Traditional Dutch Diet: Traditional Dutch cuisine is known for dishes featuring meat, potatoes, and bread, with a strong emphasis on dairy products.
Influence of Indonesian and Surinamese Cuisine: Former Dutch colonies have influenced the country's food culture, with dishes like nasi goreng and roti being popular.
Importance of Bread and Dairy: The Dutch consume a significant amount of bread and dairy products.
Coffee Consumption: The Netherlands is also known for its high coffee consumption.

I’m glad you have so much choice over there in the US. Processed foods, GM’d crops and so many fast food joints, it’s no wonder you’re all a bunch of stupid fat bastards.
Come to Europe.
Yesterday spare ribs in the evening, but shrimp and salmon grilled for lunch.
This afternoon I had gorgeous chicken wings and this evening we’re having a pasta with mussels.
True choice!
Although the price of fish has really become outragious. Last week I bought 300 grams of Monk fish and it cost 24 bloody Euros.
Although I did get a lobster for 10. That was a bargain!
@shavixmir saidThis is why I love the backward island life.

Fresh fish every day 2 to 3 Euros /pound.
Most farm meat [organic], pork and beef, the same price.
Beers in the local beach bar 1.5 Euro.
@AverageJoe1 saidYour pathetic attempt at distraction just further proves you are what I said, a Trump propagandist.
How can my post be trying to fool someone? I simply asked if making White people pay more taxes than colored people is constitutional, and also, is it racist?
Sonhouse.?

@shavixmir saidThe worst is Stone Crabs, harvested off my place Fl east coast. In season winter, $60 a pound, $85 in Atlanta. If we have a dinner party, we have to figure a pound and a half per person. We are about same as you on lobster.

But you DO have a varied choice of seafood. We have an Unlimited number of choices of cereal….and everything else. You would love this country. You got Wahoo? Redfish? Puffer fish? Lionfish?
Making me hungry.
And gluten free is very good for health. Menus here specify foods with or without gluten so it must mean something. Those must be the who-the-hell people you’re talking about.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidI asked above if taxing white people more is racist, formulating taxes dependent upon someone’s race… And is it constitutional??
He wants to tax white people more:

Let's see how many here support it.
Ha, did you see where Sonhouse wrote back an answer to that, saying that we are trying to distract him? that is kind of sad, because I think he’s serious that it is distracting himπππ
@shavixmir saidOn a side note. My wife just made the best mussel dish I’ve ever eaten.

Mussels, pasta, tomatoes, a heroic amount of garlic and wine, tomatos and parsley.
Absolutely gorgeous.

I’ve never heard of many of those fish. Maybe they have different names in English?

@Mott-The-Hoople saidMandani actually just said that Billionaires do not have a right to exist. Now, libs, see the issue here. Don't jump on the Sonhouse bandwagon, which is to rant about whether they deserve to exist or not.
every damned liberal here
The issue is that a pretender to the throne has all the trappings of a dictator. So, a lib is dictating that, say, a chicken farmer billionaire in Idaho, should be restricted from having a lot of money, being a billionaire. Denied by Government.
Is there one among you tell us if and why you agree, or not, with his making such a statement?
HE ALSO said, in confllict conflict with this satement, that he wants to work with billionaires. What in the HELL????
And if there are not billionaires, who is going to pay for free buses??
C'mon, make this fun.
@shavixmir saidEspecially the wineπ You ever hear of Louis Jadot wines?

I totally LOVE their Beaujolais Villages, very low tannin, great taste.
What is your favorite wine?
