@vivify saidI meant that if this company were operating under socialism, how would the problem be treated in such a country. A 'collective' government-dependent society, if you will. Maybe a bad question, my apologies. I am just so amazed at the concept(s) of socialism that this might be a good example of our differences. Would I, as Mr Anheuser Busch, advertise begging people to buy my product so that everyone would have a job?
What do "socialists" have to do with this?

@averagejoe1 saidIt wouldn't work anything like that.

@shavixmir saidWill take you at your word, esp given that private companies, in a literal sense, are not allowed to operate and prosper, given the very many restrictions in a socialist country. Cuba, for instance, would kick their butts.

@soothfast saidThe USA, with of course an understanding of what we depend on. We pay tax for road and for jet planes to kick ass, but other than that, I don't know anyone who depends on government. If I don't make money to eat tonight, I cannot and do not depend on govt to feed me. ZHalanzi does, and says it is real nice. He also thinks USA should have free trains for people to 'depend' on. I can't imagine.

Hey, do you know anyone personally who depends on government? IF you do, can you tell us why?

you think that because you can't read properly. Try reading again what i wrote

we've learned since we were cavemen that the group thrives when the less fortunate are being taken care of. So that they, in turn can get another chance to contribute and maybe take care of you next time.
The first proof of humanity, of civilization, lies not in anything we built or any work of art that was preserved but in the first skeleton of a humanoid that had a healed fractured femur. Somebody took care of that ape. Someone tell it to pick himself up by his not yet invented bootstrap. Someone didn't call him lazy and unwilling to work. Someone didn't tell him to eat less avocado toast. Someone didn't ask him to get a job and then maybe he could get care.
Someone took care of it and apes learnt that helping others is helping themselves. The apes that were greedy and selfish died off or were killed. You are the selfish ape, you are the exception to the human race, not the rule. Your kind of ape will soon die off too

@zahlanzi saidYou missed my thread on Philanthropy. And your post reeks of what I call collectivism. You don't mention self-reliance, productivity, competition, independence and the tried and true adage.....Give a man a fish, or teach him to fish.

The USA gives money to Romania (money equating to fish?).
Since 2016, we have given FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS to Romania. No one gives us crap. You see, our economy is such that we take care of ourselves. With charitable giving and properly manages programs and welfare for the truly needy, we don't NEED to get financial aid.
So you might not want to open that can of worms. Like I said earlier , you only know dependence in socialism...I don't WANT to know it.
You should thank me and 300,000,000 people for aiding you, or, if you are angry, which you always are, give it back.
Get a grip, man. And your treatise on cavemen does not much apply today. Certainly not in the USA. There is not likely one man on this thread who is not charitable. If Kev says he gave a beggar $100 today I would certainly know it to be true.
@wajoma saidLike you give even the tiniest little damn about them. What have you ever done for them?
Let us know if you need help finding starving people that you allow to die everyday. Of course all the ones that died yesterday don't need your help anymore.
Forget I asked, you'll just make some stupid sh-- up.
