6 out of 10 Americans either dislike or hate both Hillary and Trump.

How did it come to this?

We can explain Hillary because as we saw through the DNC e-mails, she was to be the anointed one. She had paid her dues and it was her turn, but what of Donald?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I believe Trump is throwing the election.

Here we see Trump debating Cruz and throwing to the ground

Trump is articulate, measured, and to the point. This helped him win the GOP nomination.

However, against Hillary he is a buffoon who can't complete a sentence and has a flight of ideas.

To say Donald is an "outsider" when he has been politically active his whole life and very good friends with the Clintons is absurd.

This was Trump endorsing Hillary shortly before he decided to run for President.

To become a candidate for a major party, one needs not to be popular with the American people but popular with a subset of them - namely, those that will show up at primaries. Clinton managed to win because she had little opposition, Trump mobilized the alt-right vote.

Trump was also overtly racist, xenophobic, profane, declared he supports torture...and conservatives elected him by wide margins.

Whodey, your party elected a scumbag who made no attempt to hide his immoral and idiotic ideas. Let's say Trump is only acting to throw the election for Hilary; your party is still to blame for electing this buffoon by a landslide. If Trump is only an actor, he has proven that conserves are indeed racist, morally bankrupt people, and that the way to get them to vote for you is by being a morally reprehensible idiot.

Naw, the election is his to win or lose. He can do it and he wants to win, but he's obviously swimming in unknown waters. This pretty much goes without saying. But there's a huge unknown at the moment, because there appear to be Trump supporters in the background who aren't talking and possibly giving misleading information to polsters.

I worked briefly (a few years) for a company that came up with survey questions for pollsters and it was an eye opener. The way many of the questions were worded, and the multiple choice answers you had to choose from, made it nearly impossible for many people to give an accurate or honest answer. There is so much vitriol aimed at Trump supporters right now a lot of them aren't talking to anyone, including pollsters... they are simply biding their time and waiting until election day to cast their ballots.

And then there is this sort of monkey business we can expect to see more of coming from the party of truth and transparency.

A long history of republicans pandering to racist whites, of portraying Obama as the enemy and you have the balls to wonder how the Donald happened.

Many people have talked about the flaws in the US electoral process. Yet very few actually try to fix it. There are more people trying to break it further (like you for example) than those trying to fix it.
What is hilarious is that those that seem most upset by the situation are the very people who worked so hard to break the system.
