I feel like the peg more often than not, forced to do things i don't want to, the best way I can describe how I feel is..."When everyone is dancing, I feel alone in the sea of faces." Does this make sense to anyone out there. I can't fall in love or b ...[text shortened]... alone. does this make me a non conformist not by choice but by rejection. Is there a difference?

You can't let those arse faces tell you how to feel about yourself!!!!! 😠 I mean, who do they think they are!!!! No one here or anywhere has the right to criticise you and try to tell you how to live your life!!!!! You post as much as you like and whatever you like!!!!!!! ooooooooh!!!!!! that makes me mad!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am wondering if alot of people have always felt outside the group?
I have tried to be part of things, but I have mostly felt like I didn't quite fit in?

Well, for me, relating to people is usually an intellectual effort--I have to figure out how it's done in most cases and consciously do it. I'm also not particularly charismatic or good-looking, so I can't take any easy way out.

I also like to talk about things, which apparently went out of fashion at all places other than RHP several decades ago.

That is why I enjoy college, especially when you are in a class with a good prof and interesting students. I love it when we get into a good rhp- like debate!
Poeple a so foolish to judge on looks, but I suppose we all fall victim to that curse. I love the internet, though, where you are judged purely on your intellect.
I think you are a great person, chicken.

Well thanks; likewise 😵.

I don't know if judging people based on their intellect (for good or ill) is any more justifiable than judging them (for good or ill) based on their looks, but in most contexts where I care I'd rather be judged on my intellect.

Some people seem so obsessed with fitting into the norm, and with making other people fit into the norm.
I am not advocating anarchy here, I am advocating being yourself and being happy, though not at the expense of other's happiness.

Why are people so insistent that everyone conform? Why are we forced to follow rules that are ridiculous?
Elvin,

You are onto the basic understanding of our (homo sap) relationship to Chimps. The only reason we do anything is for recognition

Two chimp credits to you for recognizing a great truth that is so obvious that we almost never see it.

I do not think that is true in all cases. There are alot of people who devote time in caring for others. Are saying there is no such thing as a selfless act?

Is it possible to not conform though? As the old saying goes, we become our parents. We are molded and shaped according to our parents morals and beliefs and ethics, we are conforming to their lifestyle. even when we are older we tend to acclimate to environment that were similar to those of our child hood. if we fall out of our traditional norm we are still conforming to rules of society.

Will you dance with me dream girl, takes all the cookies and gobbles them right up except for one that ones for my kitty.
