each person gets one vote, the table is accumulating the tallies for the two tickets (in the first two columns) as it grows downward ... the third column logs the vote for the RHPer in the fourth column ...

i think we have to stick with condi/colin, it's more symmetric, and it's a mercy to the hillary/biden/barach/bayh ticket, they're the non-incumbents and need every chance they can get ... life won't be as much fun when their party goes the way of the Whigs ...
