I was just wondering what other fellow users of the RHP 'Debate' forum think of having more structured debates on the most heated of current affairs. By structured debate, I mean formal debate, with specified debaters (in teams or on their own), taking up a motion, and arguing it to the best of their abilities, regardless of personal opinion.
I, myself, can't see a better way to insert more factual knowledge into this forum, while eradicating all petty, personal, and, quite frankly, useless comments.

What do you think's a good subject for a structured debate and do you think it could be done without people posting "trash" into the thread ?

the question in this thread is ... should we try something more accurate? should we actually detach the issue of what the country should do from the politician's vulnerabilities in their careers.
be careful ... this is a very deep blow at the base of democracy ... it proposes government decisions be related to the consequences of the action involved with their decision ... at present the country's actions relate more to the current democratic leader's concerns with the effect of the paparazzi on their lifestyle.
