Her claim is that teaching racial history is causing "Racial hostility"?
No, that's not what she's saying at all.
READ THE ARTICLE.

YOU read the article.

And? Should we stop teaching the history of slavery, Jim Crow, lynching, internment camps, Native American genocide and the transcontinental railroad, just to stop "racial hostility"?

This alleged "racial hostility" (which only one Aryan-as-fck-looking teacher claims) will only continue as long ...[text shortened]... to keep institutionalized racism is to deny it exists, which will in turn result even more conflict.
Vivify, it's the way they teach it that makes it volatile.

I learned about slavery and Jim Crow when I was in school. that is proper to teach that, so people can see the errors of the past.
But these flamethrowers that espouse CRT want to enflame the black kids and urge them to hate white kids,
and to have the white kids to hate themselves. that is what the left calls PROGRESSIVE

@sonhouse said - What I read about is they are saying our laws are pretty much based on racism.

Oh, yeah. I am sure laws against murder and theft are based in racism. uHuh. 😳

It reminds me of this woman educator, hired by the board of education in California and Tennessee,
who claims that teaching math to solve for the correct answer is racist and white supremacist.

People say a lot of things.
Who was this educator, Earl?
I never heard of this.

Give an example. All you right-wingers claim CRT demonizes whites without giving any examples.

Notice the difference between when libs make a point vs. conservatives: liberals not only cite reputable sources but also give *specifics* to discuss. You know, actual examples, statements and verifiable facts...not broad empty claims.

So what about "the way they teach it" makes it "volatile"? Do textbooks start "once upon a time a buncha white devils infected the land"?

Exactly.
I've seen it myself in the schools I've taught in.
CRT breeds hostility, resentment, and hatred towards white students and teachers, along with America and Western culture..

Oh, that's not even the problem.

They look at any class that mentions USA colonial history and claim that that is CRT and therefore demonises (sorry, demonizes, I was forgetting that we're talking Rebel history here) honkies.

They're not just wrong, but downright stupid, both times.

CRT
Like f@!*& you've taught, and like f#@$^& you've seen CRT. If you had, you wouldn't have taught, you'd have lectured. But you didn't do any of that, did you?

No they don't.
Been teaching about colonial history and slavery forever, it's nothing new.
CRT is totally different.

Wasn't CRT, but it was close.
When I first started teaching in Tucson, some of the high schools had what were called La Raza classes, with books like White Like Me by Tim Wise, etc.
It militarized the hispanic students and gave them something to whine about.
I had to fill in a number of times in these classes and it wasn't pleasant.
Fortunately they finally removed them from the curriculum.

Here we go again,
so now you're a teacher.......?
Full tenured Professor, no doubt......
Enlighten us, will you please, exactly what schools, you taught in,
that offered CRT Courses?
Take it away Maestro... 😛

the poor poor black people 😩

Having classes where people identify as Victim or Oppressor is one example.

Using slavery as an excuse for failure is another example.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter because intelligent people know who is who in the grand scheme of things 😉

Those are not examples. Those are empty claims with no evidence that can be scrutinized for accuracy.

Thanks for proving my point.

When we give articles you claim they are fake or you attack the source 🙄

Typical toad. Thanks for filling the stereotype. 😉
