In my case the ire was realizing my own parents were racist and I mentally vowed to change the in MY life anyway and I have walked the walk. White kids NEED to know about the hundreds of years that slavery helped build our nation and the war fought over slavery, where people were owned like cattle.
White kids HAVE to know that history.
