Nah, it's not something I'd like to wear around the grand kids. Funny though (like the Hillary T-Shirts).

You know all the "staffers from the McCain camp" who are trashing Sarah Palin are anonymous, right? They don't even have the courage to go on camera and make these accusations; and besides, none of this has been substantiated. As far as I'm concerned, these "staffers" don't belong in politics.
Thank God... you're a country boy. Obviously.

I'm damned glad that my 4 1/2 year old daughter is too young to follow politics. The liberals in America have successfully argued that women in general are too stupid to hold the office of president.

The liberals in America have not argued that. The argument is against a woman who is actually unintelligent. Creationism? The earth is only 6,000 years old? Give me a break. Palin suffers some abstract removal from the real world. She ignores scientific evidence and brings too much religion into her politics.

Gov. Palin has had to endure comments like these, attacks on her intelligence, her children,

Her children? She cut funding for special needs children in Alaska. No big deal to Palin and her disabled kid, right? She had the money.

Liberals should hang their heads in shame for the damage they've done to America and to women. And Obama is the ring-leader for this. As the leader of the Democratic party he is the beneficiary of this garbage and he is the one responsible for putting a stop to these types of attacks IF he disagrees with them. He has not done so. As a result, all of this falls on his shoulders. It's VERY safe to say that Obama bringing "class" to the whitehouse is already out of the question.

What a bunch of crap. Do you feel the same way about proposition 8 in California?

People hold all sorts of wacky religious beliefs that I don't agree with. That doesn't mean that I run around making blanket statements about their intelligence or fitness to hold public office based upon their religious beliefs.

It's called tolerance. You liberals preach it. You should try practicing it some time.

I wasn't actually referring to the lies about funding for special needs children, but since you brought it up:

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/sliming_palin.html

What I was actually referring to were the attacks on her children, for instance the repeated accusations that her husband had molested their daughter and was the father of the unborn child, the repeated accusations that she was a bad mother and that was causing her children to behave badly, and the sleazy accusations that she was somehow a crook for allowing her children to fly with her on official business (talk about a double standard).

Thankfully I don't live in the PRC any more. I managed to flee from the worker's paradise 11 years ago and I haven't looked back. 😛

Since you asked, I looked this up to see what the crazies are up to lately. Prop 8 refers to a ban on gay marriage, right? I'm not sure what exactly this has to do with liberals attacking women, perhaps you can draw the parallel for me. At any rate, I'm not a politician and I won't duck the question.

I think "gay rights" and "gay marriage" are difficult issues to fit into a sound bite. I believe in equal rights, not special rights. This gets complicated because marriage (in my opinion) is more a religious institution than a government institution. Unfortunately it's become an area in which government and religion are entangled and I believe that that entanglement is the source of much of the problems. My own opinion is that government should get out of the business of recognizing marriages and allow religious organizations to perform/recognize marriages according to their own belief system. I think the government should have it's own system (if it must) of recognizing civil unions and that should be applied equally without regard to sexuality. We should not have government interfering with religion, and we should not have religion interfering with government. Our founders had the good sense to try to create some separation between the two--I think we should strive to maintain that separation.

I whole-heartedly agree. That doesn't mean, however, that all religious people should be disqualified from holding office. If so then Obama would be out too.
