Debate over the affordable care act (The GOP has branded as Obamacare) has become so bitter, and the arguments against it so toxic and nasty, that even a modest success of this program would leave those arguing against it looking pretty silly. The success or failure of this program may very well decide the outcome of the 2016 election, and shape the political landscape for many years to come. I don't know if this program will be looked upon as a success or not, but candidates from both sides may have staked their political futures on this one issue, weather they wanted to do so or not. The next 3 years will be pretty interesting...
I have a question for you, why do you not question the name 'affordable care act'?
What's in a name? The title sure sounds nice, but why give it that name before we see what it actually is? Obviously those who passed it had no idea what it said.

It's like renaming nuclear weapons the happy mushroom.
If it is so great for the rest of us, then why is Congress exempting itself out of it? Is it because there is one set of rules for the Federal Government and another set of rules for the rest of us? Echoes of the New Class.

The warnings are not coming exclusively from the right.

They are encouraging the warnings to become so dire that any modest success will invalidate the opposition. That's the point.
