What about the prof from Gilligans Island? Seemed like a smart guy. Got stranded on an island with two beautiful women and spent all of his time trying to build communication devices out of coconut shells.
You know what, forget him. He was an idiot.

Originally posted by prosoccerI think both shows are stupid. You want to see a real professor, go back to school or watch the Discovery Channel, A&E, The History Channel, or The Military Channel...these are where you'll find professors, some of them graduates of "The school of Hard Knocks", or actual experience....get real, 'cause life ain't the Simpsons nor Futurama....both mindless horsechit.....just my opinion 😲
who do you think is the best one? professor farnsworth from futurama, or prof frink from simpsons. I am thinking farnsworth for his age related humor...what can't adult diapers solve?
Originally posted by chancremechanicThere is a difference betweent the History Channel and the Military Channel? I have heard that the History Channel is owned by the US Army. I don't know whether it is true or not. Has anyone else heard the same?

It appears that you don't watch anything except documentaries and such, not sitcoms. Nothing wrong with that, the majority of t.v. that I watch is on those channels, but the Simpsons and Family Guy are hilarious. I saw an interview with Seth MacFarland (Family Guy producer and voice of Stuey, Brian, Peter and nine other characters) and he said they can get away with more cutting edge jokes because it is just a cartoon.
Originally posted by prosoccerHow old are you, may I ask? I have nothing against good comedy. Good comedy went out the door years ago. Seinfeld was probably the last funny sitcom. The Comedy Channel has some funny stuff on it, but c'mon, the Simpsons and Futurama? If you think South Park is good comedy, then I truly feel sorry for you. I ain't a "stick in the mud", I'm just a hard-ass realist, and by the way, I do consider the channels I listed as entertainment. By the way, if you can tell me what "long-dead" General who graduated from West Point led the U.S. Third Army on its rampage towards Berlin in '44-'45, I'll apologize for pissing on your comedy parade.....deal? 😉
Are you saying that you watch no tv for entertainment at all? All you watch is how some long dead General graduated from Westpoint. I don't see what your problem is, we were having a decent conversation on television shows that make you laugh, and you had to make it tedious.
Nice
