"Using Jews as the scapegoat, Hitler and his cronies orchestrated what they called "the Big Lie." This theory states that no matter how big the lie is (or more precisely, because it's so big), people will believe it if you repeat it enough. Everyone tells small lies, but few have the guts to tell colossal lies. Because a big lie is so unlikely, people will come to accept it. Although the Big Lie is often attributed to being coined by Hitler and Goebbels, there isn't evidence that they actually wrote that this was their strategy. In fact, both men wrote that their enemies (the Jews and the British) used this tactic. Nevertheless, the Nazis certainly practiced the Big Lie [source: Jewish Virtual Library]."

Joe Biden seems to be using the big lie theory. He thinks if he repeats "Putin price hike" enough times people will believe it.
It’s generally referred to, in PR terms, as the illusion of truth.
Goebbels (and Hitler in Mein Kampf) referred to ‘the big lie’ as a tactic used by Jews and the British.
But, Goebbels obviously used the PR tactic to further the Nazi cause.
What’s actually astonishing about your post is that you end up questioning Biden, when trump and Fox news are obviously far more obvious culprits of using the technique to the extreme.
“The stolen election” as a prime example.
Far more nefarious though is the constant framing of messages.
It’s part of the illusion of truth, yet extremely subtle.
Think “fake news media”
Which basically suggests that any news source which disagrees with your own political agenda is fake.
trump and his cronies used this extremely effectively, suckering large portions of the US electorate into a rabbit hole of opinionated garbish.
@metal-brain saidIf it's a global economic phenomenon, it wasn't caused by Biden.

@shavixmir saidCalling Trump's election fraud claim as "the big lie" is a lie in itself because there is no evidence he lied. He might genuinely believe it, even if it is not true, so calling that "the big lie" is purely for propaganda purposes.

It may have been a deliberate lie. Some people have suggested that was his way of getting even after being unfairly vilified in the corporate news media over an election conspiracy theory of Russia collusion that ironically was a big lie. Maybe he hated that big lie so much he made up his own to get even. It is possible, but impossible to prove.
@wildgrass saidWhat wasn't caused by Biden?

@metal-brain saidI've got some crabgrass in my yard. Can't get rid of it.
What wasn't caused by Biden?
Thanks, Biden.
@wildgrass saidFirst Biden blamed Putin, then he blamed the republicans. Is crabgrass what he is blaming inflation on now?

@metal-brain saidI think he's blaming the global supply of oil and the inflexible response of the refining industry to fluctuations in gas demand caused by a once in a lifetime pandemic and a recovering economy.

My crabgrass, definitely caused by Joe Biden. Oil prices don't cause that, silly.
@wildgrass saidUS sanctions on Russia caused the oil shortage, not the war. Russia is still selling a lot of oil, more than they were before. Enough to pay for the war.

Those sanctions hurt us more than it did Russia. The Ruble is doing great too. This is a classic case of blow back. We are hurting from sanctions that were supposed to hurt Russia. It has failed miserably.
@metal-brain saidMadness.

All his advisors, except the drunk lawyer, told him the election wasn’t stolen. Just watch the hearings.
trump knows he lost, his narcissism just makes him unable to accept the fact.
@metal-brain saidThey are not selling more oil it’s just that the oil they are selling is commanding a higher price because of an upsurge in global demand exasperated by the war of annihilation the fascist Russian regime is waging on the people of Ukraine.

The oil producing countries at large are sustaining the oil shortage by not upping production in response.
The sooner we develop alternative non carbon energy sources so we can dump these authoritarian banana republics the better.
Stop lying and stop being stupid

And stop saying ‘we’ you Russian 5th columnist!
No one is stupid enough to believe Trump did not know he got humped in the election, not even his daughter.

If you cannot prove Trump knew it wasn't true you cannot prove it is a lie. He might be in denial like you often are.
Falsehoods are not always lies.
