There is a reason that the world see Israel as the bad boy in the community. What will that reason be, I wonder...?
No need to wonder.

Most of the World (not the United States, I need not remind you) simply thinks it's more convenient to sacrifice the interests of a few million Jews at the altar of placating well over a billion Muslims and Arabs, who control the lion's share of the World's petroleum.

That was easy enough.

Got any other questions?

I think that was my point really.

So you think it's about the poor jews who got it in the concentration camps65 years ago. Therefore everyone in the world (except USA, as you so kindly reminded me) is against the poor things. Or perhaps their unsocial behaviour towards their neighbors from the very start of their existance?

There are a few countries in the world who constantly threatens their neighbours. It's North Korea, it's Israel, and a few other states. These are basd their powers on terrorism. They kill because they think they have the right to kill other people. Some commit murders in Dubai, having falseified passports, they commit piracy on international waters killing plenty, they lock in their neigbours and trhow away the key, they murder and slaughter. And they are not criminals? Of course they are. Moreover, they are state terrorists, sanctionned by the gouvernement.

I wouldn't mind inviting other people on my yard. But only if they can behave. Israel cannot.

When did I say that?

No, really. When did I say that?

No. No. Really! When did I say that?

Seriously.

Edit: Be honest here. Did I play the Nazi card or did you?

That is what you actually believe? Seriously?

The interests of a few million Jews cannot possibly be served by the present policies directed at the Palestinians.

You mentionned jews. I mention Israel.

For me it doesn't matter who lives therein, for me it's a bunch of criminal people in the gouvernement, ordering it's military to kill people.

Jews you say? Doesn't matter to me.

Nobody has admitted to anything being a criminal act.

For those perhaps not familiar with hose "criminal acts" are investigated...

First you do the investigation. Then, after the investigation, depending on the results, you determine whether the act was criminal. Until then, it's an "alleged" criminal act.

I have to admit I am... 😞

Paying people to spout their mindless and totally fake Hasbara... As if they weren't already low enough.

“Of course,” says Shturman. “Our people will not say: ‘Hello, I am from the policy-explanation department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and I want to tell you the following.’ Nor will they necessarily identify themselves as Israelis. They will speak as net-surfers and as citizens, and will write responses that will look personal but will be based on a prepared list of messages that the Foreign Ministry developed.”

LOL! Boy, would I start posting differently if I could get into that deal!

In all seriousness though, I'd say the rest of the World was strongly supportive of Israel up until the 1967 War and its aftermath and the Arabs had the oil before then. What the World (mostly through the UN) has criticized is the maltreatment of the Palestinians along with Israel's land grabs by building settlements in occupied territory (which is a violation of long standing international law).

I wasn't around pre-67, so I don't have much of a basis for judging the political climate at the time.

The settlements are deserving of criticism. I'll admit that. After '67 Israel figured it could simply settle the previously empty areas in the WB and Gaza and no one would be able to stop them. It even gave Hebrew names to some of the WB areas to set it up for absorption unto Israel.

At times, there has also been maltreatment of the Palestinians. That also cannot be gainsaid.

What I object to is the one-sidedness of the condemnations. The Palestinians have launched multiple vicious terror campaigns and that fact has gone largely unnoticed by the likes of the UN. Some say the terror campaigns were legitimate resistance to occupation, and I completely disagree. I further maintain that much of the Israeli "maltreatment" of the Palestinians was necessitated (or at least brought on) by the terror campaigns.

Speaking of money, I have to get to work. I'll see you all later.

People sometimes believe that the blockade on Gaza is not only about what gets in in Gaza, but also what comes from Gaza to the outside world. And with this measure some more things will get in in Gaza but the type of things that is allowed out from Gaza won't be changing.
Thus self-determination and self-determination will continue to be greatly hindered in Gaza and the population will continue to depend on outside aid just to make it.

http://www.hrw.org/en/news/2010/06/21/israelgaza-easing-blockade-imports-first-step

Israel announced on June 20, 2010, that instead of permitting only a small number of items to enter Gaza, it would permit imports of all civilian items except "weapons and war material, including problematic dual-use" items, a move that could significantly increase the variety and quantity of civilian goods entering Gaza, Human Rights Watch said.

...

the Cabinet decision did not address Israel's policy of restricting exports from Gaza, which has crippled Gaza's economy and led to high rates of unemployment, poverty, and food insecurity. During the past three years, Israel has permitted the export of only a few truckloads of strawberries and cut flowers.

Like I said: I'm extremely suspicious of this loosening of the blockade until further notice.
