@AverageJoe1 saidI don't follow college ball much. The Minnesota Gophers some.
@KingDavid403. so who do you like in March Madness?
@KingDavid403 saidI frequent a place which has a lot of people from up North, enjoying summer climes. ALL they talk about is Pro sports, not a mention of college. I am reverse of that, being a southern boy.

@AverageJoe1 saidEnglish is english. The meaning is the same.
Hey. All due respects, this is not church. And the guy that wrote that might modify it just a touch, here 2000 years later. You needed money to buy your keyboard. I mean, you needed THAT money but not other money???? Pick it up, sue, just trying to be helpful.
Each time i see such posts, I think what is that person driving at. Could you humor us and apply it to 2025?
Leave it to Republicans to try and find loopholes in the Bible.
@KingDavid403 saidYes, I appreciate the support.
I thought your 'quote' 'King James version' was worded much the same. "for the love of money is etc..." π I just wanted to add further to the context of the scripture you shared.
I was explaining more for people not familiar with the Bible than for you. Some people don't get it when people quote the same verses and the wording is different.
@AverageJoe1 saidAnd what do you not get that the topic is the LOVE of money and not money itself?
Your best post ever. It does apply indeed, but practically speaking would we have seen the improvements over 2000 years that we have enjoyed? Wireless? Are you quoting scripture which says food and clothing is enough? anything beyond that is temptation and a trap? That, if we have internet and cars, we will have ruin and destruction.?
But, it abruptly then says to ...[text shortened]... . How else could we bet!!!
A good post, King. I put you a thumbs up. Do people look at those?
Here's a tip. In a conversation, listen to what the other person says. Don't just 'wait to speak'. Women hate that, btw.
@KingDavid403 saidWell done. π
Are you quoting scripture which says food and clothing is enough?
That's food, clothing and shelter. We should be content if we have that. If one has more, all blessings to them.
There's nothing wrong with being wealthy. It's what you do with it that counts. There's some responsibility with being wealthy; there's also many temptations and pit-falls to b ...[text shortened]... to enter the kingdom of God." Jesus said.
All the Patriarchs in the Bible were wealthy; etc etc.
@AverageJoe1 saidStill not getting it, are you?
Sorry, I must be so confusing. This is what I wrote…
Y'all confuse the phrase brother's keeper in the same way you do that word in the Consitution.......Welfare!!!
Golly it certainly does explain itself, does it not? There is a phrase, brother’s keeper. There is also a word, welfare, which appears in the constitution.
The first phrase, Brother’s Keeper, is in ...[text shortened]... as been a good explanation.
Sorry, there is no emoji for free stuff to highlight my comments.π

@AverageJoe1 saidAre you more comfortable with the word 'neighbor'?
This may be understood by you. Why does it take so much writing for such a simple statement? And is not all of this just some peoples' opinion? Whose?
I think it wraps up the discussion.
Cheers.

Jesus himself said the second commandment was to love your neighbor as you love yourself.
Sorry, no loopholes here for you.
The Good Samaritan helped a needy person who was not of his 'clan'. That person was still his 'neighbor'.
@AverageJoe1 saidNo respect at all.

It's been almost 2 months since I posted here in the debates section, and what has come to pass recently had been so predictable, and so unnecessary.
