Nowhere near enough footy debate on this forum so I thought I'd create one thread where we can bunch it all together.

A couple of matters to start with:

1. Roy Keane. IMO Sunderland will not be out of the bottom 16 by Christmas Day. Roy Keane does not have the experience or skills of management, and does not have the right personality to gain these attributes. Sure he's determined and sets high standards, but his man-management style is incredibly bad and I wouldn't be surprised if he berates his players through the media. I think he's the type of guy who will shout and shout at his players, and when things go wrong, just shout even louder and become frustrated that it doesn't work. They might get an initial boost of confidence but this will soon fade and Keano will most likely do a runner before the season is out.

2. Chelsea's treatment of Gallas is a disgrace. Their public slating of the guy is totally dishonourable IMO, but is just symptomatic of Mourinho's reign. Irrespective of the truth of the claims, you would think that a football club would rise above such behaviour. However Mourinho has set the low standards of Chelsea Football Club with such despicable acts as to refer to fellow professionals as sexual predators (calling Wenger a 'voyeur'😉. Obviously nothing can be done about such things, but Chelsea should realise the damage they are doing to their stature, built on a hundred years of history.

1) Keano is a hothead, and a difficult character- ok, he's a thug and a tinker. However, he'll command with the players respect due to what he's achieved in football as a player, and for his experience of working under top managers.

He is, however, an absolute gobsh!te. Never forget Saipan. He's a disgrace.

But, I'll take that bet. I reckon he can do well at Sunderland.

2) What damage to Chelsea's stature. they hadn't won a championship in half a century before the takeover. Sure, it's now a brand more than a football club, but that's capitalism and sport. Ideally they shouldn't mix. But that's professional soccer. Sad but true.

I'm hoping the Houston Texans have a little better showing this year. 🙂

Same here for the Lions. And also hope Rothlisberger recovers quickly from his operation. Big 10 (11) looks tough this year. Good footy season coming up for sure.

Sorry guys, but the original thread was about REAL football, not the pathetic Yanky version where the ponces dress up in ridiculous padded outfits and have a few seconds of tedious plays in between minutes of adverts.

1. I have a funny feeling Keane will do very well as a manager. (At least he can't injure himself making spiteful challenges)

2. True, and I would not defend Chelski for a moment. However, if their claims are true, then it is pretty shocking behaviour from Gallas - threatening to score an own goal. He could have been sacked for less.

Keep hoping. Did they do anything to shore up their OL in the offseason? They've got a franchise QB who is spending all his time on his back.

Have you ever posted anything of meaning? I'm sure following me round making nonsense posts must amuse you but it is getting a little tiresome.

They have a new head coach - Gary Kubiak. Many changes have been made.
Only Zach Wiegert, who started seven games at right tackle, is back at the same offensive line position he ended at last season.
