Terri Schiavo's finally gone.

We can all walk away now and get on with our lives, perhaps sadder and a little bit wiser. And, if it's your thing, perhaps say a small prayer tonight for her soul and for her grieving family.

Oh I'm sure the circus will slow a little. The politicians especially don't have as much to gain now. The media will still feed on the coming lawsuits for a bit though.

After that we'll see if the republicans in congress really want to work on legislation regarding this event, or if they were just giving it lip service while it was a hot news story. My guess is that the dems and repubs are already forgetting about Ms Schiavo as I type.

We still have the autopsy to go through. That'll generate a few news stories. I guess that's about it until the lawsuits hit the news.

I bet it runs into civil suits (wronfull death) until the courts get a restraining order placed on the parents. 😉

I'm guessing there will still be a made for TV movie and several books with significent money moving into the bank account of whomever signs over the rights.
