I’ve made a New Year’s resolution not to get upset by anything more the Cantaloupe Caligula does. He’s already done so much damage, and he’s going to do a whole lot more before his own party removes him from power. I’ve decided to worry about something else instead. Is my dog getting enough cheese ?

I recall Albert Speer's memoir, Inside The Third Reich, in which he says that being in the higher echelons of power was like being in a hall of distorting mirrors, where all of the usual reality checks failed.
