I've never been to Europe. From what I know of the Aztecs, there's plenty to complain about with respect to the indiginous peoples of Mexico.

The nomads of northern Mexico are the people we see in Los Angeles, I suspect, not the civilizations of the south. They still wander back and forth. Why let a little thing like a border with a superpower get in the way?

We are talking about illegal immigrants here.... what rights do you think they have in this country? Lay them out for me, please. Show me the common sense and pragmatism I mentioned in another thread. Here's the part that I don't get about people who defend illegal immigrants in this country..or illegal immigrants in any country, by their sheer prescence and drain on the social services and government's ability to assist as well as charities etcetc. , illegal immigrants take away from legal immigrants and natural born citizens, they take away jobs, they take away support services and they cause wages to drop. So whats so hard to understand?

I just love these conversations 😕 But if you're really from Brazil, then the same advice holds true for you ... go back to Europe! We could just send back to Europe everyone in the Americas who isn't pure native stock. Same for Africa and Australia. Then we can sort out the rest of the planet's invaders and their offspring.

Mexican illegals cost U.S. taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars. Maybe the United States should send the bill to the Mexican president?

You are so naive. Just today, a new report was released that says each immigrant to the United States costs taxpayers more than $9,000, while every immigrant household of four costs $36,000 in taxes. Pretty soon, Americans will have to immigrate just to escape the horrendous tax burden immigrants have saddled them with:

Most researchers say the majority of these immigrants left low-skilled, low-paying jobs back home in search of a better life in America's underground economy.

Immigrant farm workers keep the cost of U.S. agricultural products low
"They basically are subsidizing in very many ways the lifestyle of the majority of Americans," says Demetrios Papademetriou, President of the Migration Policy Institute here in Washington. "Illegal immigrants contribute immensely; they work extremely hard. About 94 or 95 percent of the people of working age who are here illegally actually are engaged in the labor market. And they produce products and services that are heavily subsidized for the average consumer because of their labor."

It is estimated that illegal aliens in the U.S. make, on average, less than half of what legal immigrants or American citizens earn. And nearly 60 percent of illegal families live at or below the poverty line. Nonetheless, they are crucial to several sectors of the economy.

=============

QUESTION. 94% uh? What's the percentage of U.S. citizens in working age engaged in productive labor?

ANSWER. Less than that, for sure.

CONCLUSION. Illegals subsidize the lifestyle of the so-called "real Americans"

Nuff said.

They don't subsidize my "lifestyle." Every year, my property tax bill goes up and up so that illegals can go to taxpayer financed schools and receive free breakfast and lunch, be taught in their native language and then get pregnant and/or drop out before completing high school. Many wind up in jail or on government assistance programs. The reality is that only the rich hire Mexican illegals to remodel or clean their homes and/or yards. Business has fobbed the social cost of illegal immigration onto the middle class and the poor (who are in competition for these jobs). If cheaper lettuce means having illegals here, I say we should export the jobs to Mexico, that way, we'd only have to pay the shipping costs.

But you work, so of course they don't subsidize your lifestyle.

However, they do subsidize all the "passport holders" who don't work and hence produce no money and, instead of contributing to the economy, suck up from it.

How am I being naive?
Just imagine if YOU were an Mexican immigrant in the US, legal , working hard, would you like the ''natives'' to accuse you of being a criminal, or accuse you of forcing americans to immigrate ''to escape the horrendous tax burden'' simply because of the way you look, or because of the place you're from?
Im not being ''pro-mexican'' but you were the ones who stole new mexico from the mexicans!
