Pro illegal immigration groups are suggesting as they plan demonstrations for MayDay (interesting timing) that efforts to deport illegal immigrants is 'racist' So they contend that enforcing the laws of the US are really acts of racism against Latinos? I generally don't put up links but here is the one from Lou Dobbs of CNN

I thought it interesting too the Mayor of San Francisco is spending taxpayer money to advertise his city is a sanctuary for illegals

For example, you don't see people advocating building a wall along the American/Canada border do you? Why is that if we are all concerned about American safety? If the truth be known, Canada has a far larger Islamic population than Mexico with perhaps the most liberal immigration policy of any country in the world to boot! I heard they have known wanted Al-Quida terrorists living there unmolested.

Or is the order of the day now that the rule of law in this country means nothing anymore? Everyone can pick and chose which laws to obey and which to ignore? I think they have a word for that...... its anarchy, I believe.

You are driving next to the Rio Grande, and suddenly a guy all weat walks next to the road, water dripping from his messy clothes, with a small pack of things under his arm, zigzaging tired. Questions:
1. What would your first thought be?
2. Would you stop and help him?
3. Would you call immigration police?
Now, ask those questions again, but in these 2 assumptions:
(a) If the guy was a blond, rosy-cheeked, Irish like, 1.85 meter tall guy.
(b) If the guy was a short, dark brunette, little black moustahce, Mexican looking guy.
Who would you hug and help, who would you speak to?
Be honest!
Damn it, you and I know the answer, you and I know it.
Now BE FREAKING HONEST and stop posting nonsense unless you give it an honest thought first, and you are honest with yourself.
Carpe diem.

But just to humor you, don't you think if the Democrats thought what he has done is illegal, they wouldn't have made a effort to impeach him by now ...or are they too much of cowards to even try. If their convictions were that strong they would have made an effort .... guess they know they'd be pissing into the proverbial wind Or maybe their convictions that they are right is weak.
BTW, I totally oppose Bush on his immigration stance ...
Originally posted by SMSBear716There you go again... Democrats, Republicans, Democrats, Republicans, right-wingers of varying degrees one and all. You wear your parochialism right there on your sleeve. And yet you brandish all this incongruous self-esteem at the same time. But people like you are consistent when it comes to illegality: you pick and choose. There's illegality you choose to see, and there's illegality you get very, very upset about. Much like a sports fan. "That was never handball" says the Argentine soccer fan watching the 22 year old video tape.
Since we are talking about illegal immigration, your response is off subject.

Originally posted by SMSBear716The rule of law is not absolute. That's why we have a Constitution and a Supreme Court. That's why we rebelled against England. However, with respect to the illegal immigrants, I agree.

Remember, everyone, 18th Street gang in Los Angeles - the neighborhood my aged parents live in - is half illegal immigrants. When people just come in, without respect for the country they're entering, this sort of thing happens.
