And I was like, wait. Supposedly millions of criminals were allowed to just wander in like a herd of frickin' cattle. But it took TEN MONTHS for one of them to transgress?!?
That's some well-behaved criminals right there. Better than the citizens, I'd say.

It is not higher among migrants. It's lower. So opposing immigration 'because of crime' is wrong-headed. You should in theory promote deporting legal citizens to lower crime.
Which no one is going to do, and which also proves crime is not the issue.
