Yes, currently the US military occupies Germany, England and Qatar among other places. Of my friends who are currently in the military, one is currently stationed in England and another in Qatar.

EDIT:

Seven arrested over Chicago attack plot
Friday Jun 23 11:46 AEST

AP - Seven people were arrested in connection with the early stages of a plot to attack Chicago's Sears Tower and other buildings in the US, a federal law enforcement of ...[text shortened]... ly. Local media reported that agents were raiding a warehouse in Miami's Liberty City section.
I shall correct my statement regarding Al Qaeda to this.

"The would-be terrorists swore the aoth of allegiance to Al Qaeda."

The Associated Press

MIAMI, Fla.- Seven people were arrested Thursday in connection with the early stages of a plot to attack Chicago's Sears Tower and other buildings in the U.S., including the FBI office in Miami, a federal law enforcement official said.

I'm glad their plot was foiled. If anyone thinks they should have been left alone to bring their plans to fruition, this person might as well be plotting right along with them.

5 of the 7 are American citizens - traitors, plain and simple. there may be more than meets the eye regarding the other two.

Fine with me...martial law is not neccesarily a bad thing....especially in the large cities, not to mention the borders.

We don't technically "occupy" any of those countries, but I think I know what you mean, so no offense intended. We simply provide "protection" (LOL) for the good people of these countries at your and my expense, and with the exception of England, for the most part, are paid back in Anti-Americanism...pull ALL troops out of Europe NOW! Let them take care of themselves at their own expense. We aren't wanted there anymore anyway...

If only the US military in Iraq would take note ...

Wait a minute - they don't really murder civilians, do they? Collateral damage. I forgot.

What about al-Qaeda's record of murdering civilians, and not by collateral damage?

Not very good.

As long as accountability is equally applied.

The next thing you know Osama Bin Laden will be stroking a pussy cat, change the organisation's name to SPECTRE and call himself Lex Luthor.

Good grief.
