The US and South Korea has responded to North Koreas missile tests by firing off missiles of their own. This juvenile display of force is stupid and dangerous. Just one errant missile accidently striking North Korea or even entering their airspace could ignite a destructive war in the area. Just because North Koreas leader does stupid things, does not mean we have to do the same.

@mchill
What do you think is an alternative? Ignore the tests and let NK develop true international missiles armed with nukes? You are not talking about a civilized country, the corruption comes from the top down and millions of NK citizens are literally starving as a result.
@mchill saidI find it hard to believe that N Korea has missiles that could penetrate the defence systems of the US and if it hasn’t then any attack on US allies will be suicide and I don’t think China will give NK the go ahead for that unless China has decided to go to war on the US anyway in which case NK will be a side show.

These rocket tests by both sides are more for domestic consumption than a prelude to a hot war. The N Korean leadership is probably hacked off about the attention they are not getting because if Ukraine and the cost of living crisis in the west.

The alternative is deescalate the situation, not to ramp up tensions. If NK wants to develop true international missiles armed with nukes there is little we can do short of invading them - is that what you want? America is not on this earth to police the globe.
@jimm619 saidYes definitely but I think U.S. missiles can definitely reach N Korea along with some serious conventional ordinance from the south.
Think the missiles are able
to reach South Korea?
I say definitely but who really knows with NK it could be mostly lot of attention grabbing bluster to convince the US and the folks at home that the regime is a world power of some kind.
@mchill saidMcHill, McHill.....your credence on such matters is on shaky ground, given your post earlier that we should 'not stay close to enemies"!!!
