How is saying that coloured women, for whatever reason, are underrepresented in the national team white shaming?
-------------------------------------------------------------
What makes you think they have to have a presence? I say the women who made the team deserved to be there.
... unless you have evidence of foul play
@suzianne saidNewsflash: Calling out the racism of whites isn't "racist".
Maybe if they kept their faces shut about people who happen to be not like them, maybe we wouldn't have to stand up to their misanthropy.
No, when you call me a racist and a bigot, I just think you're an idiot. It's called 'transference of motive'. You right-wingers have a long, long history of doing just that.

So, a neo-con, Koch-fueled outlet claims that "the wokerati" are stirring up hate against an, in actual fact, well-loved sports team...
-----------------------------------------
And I am doing my best to show just how aloof people are about racism, Simple as that. against *ANY* color of person.
@earl-of-trumps saidI don’t have any knowledge of how the team is selected but it seems incongruous given the proportion of poc players in the men’s team and every professional women’s team in the English league

My question to your faux outrage is why simply questioning, rightly or wrongly, a perceived, under representation of women of colour = white shaming in any way
@kevcvs57 saidBecause it drags out useless racism again. They wouldn't question the composition if the team was all black, now, would they.

I live in Boston. My basketball team, the Celtics, has 17 NBA championships. No doubt, their best team was 1986.
The team only lost 1 home game all year including the playoffs. 41 + 6 47 games, 1 loss. Amazing.
Anyway, the coach was African American, K C Jones, who played for the celts and won a lot of those early championships.
Now, as good as this team was, there was a bit of a controversy with the Celtics players. They were "too white" said the pundits.
We all know that the best teams have the most African Americans, right??
So anyway, In that 1986 season, K C Jones was the coach of the East team in the all-star game, and the East team
is of course, the team that the Celtics players would be on. . So at one point early, Jones put 5 Celtic players on the court,
the whole team, however, was white. That set the alarms off in a hurry!! But don't worry, K C knew what he was doing..
@mott-the-hoople saidHey man we Hispanics haven't enslaved people for centuries wtf you talking about
“The ones who felt bad when they first studied the US civil war and realized it was all about white people subjugating an entire race of people who didn't look like them,”
us conservatives are fighting that same govt. right now!
substitute hispanic for black…
modern day slavery is happening, and YOU support it.
@wajoma saidLot of those Hispanics are racist white fascists who probably wish Franco still ruled Spain
Thousands of black people and Hispanic people support Trump.
How do they fit into your 'white people that should be shamed/ashamed' group?

@earl-of-trumps saidSimple answer, stop listening to pundits. Every time England play in a major international comp the English ‘pundits’ make the rest of us look like arrogant fantasists.
Because it drags out useless racism again. They wouldn't question the composition if the team was all black, now, would they.

As an England fan of the men’s and women’s teams I would be concerned if I thought we were losing out on a talented pool of non white players because of the selectors racism but I really don’t think that is happening.
If the disparity is real perhaps the EFA should be targeting poc in the youth sector to get them involved in women’s football.

And may I ask why???
Why is "evening it out" everyone's knee-jerk reaction when met with an obvious imbalance? so what?
Did you ever watch an NHL game of hockey? The bean counters must go crazy with that.
@earl-of-trumps saidBecause I’m not a freakin halfwit and I want the most talented players coming up through the ranks and maybe scoring the winning goal against Italy the next time the women’s or men’s team meet them in a World or European final.

You say your not racist over and over again but you get epileptic at the idea of raising awareness and opportunities for a game of sport amongst an underrepresented identifiable group.
I call it opportunity you call it levelling up, I think I now know who the racist in this thread is.

@kevcvs57 saidI just want a good explanation from them as to why they can't find good non-white players to represent what native populations actually look like. We all know they're out there.
