I think the issue if there is one us that the F.A are not funnelling enough resources into women’s youth football in general and into generating interest and opportunities within the ethnic minorities in particular.
Most of the women in the England squad got there by being well supported by their parents and a few sports educators if they were lucky enough to land in their school. The answer would be to give women’s football much higher priority in the lower end of the state sector schools where most of the population get educated.
