U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Destroyed 12-0 by Team of Older, Male Wrexham Players
A group of older men, some retired, from the U.K. totally destroyed a team of former U.S. women’s soccer players 12-0 at an independent soccer tournament in North Carolina on Thursday.
The Wrexham men’s team, made up of former and current players — some in the 40s — took on a team of U.S. women being coached by famed U.S. soccer player Mia Hamm. The U.S. team was made up mostly of former U.S. National Women’s Team players, including Heather O’Reilly and Lori Lindsey, according to GiveMeSport.

The disparity is that telling. Keep the men out of women's sports!!

And out of their locker rooms.
@earl-of-trumps saidFormer male players against former female players is not the reason why trans women should be kept out of women’s sports.

Former trans women against a former woman’s team, would be a much better method of extracting relevant data.
@shavixmir
So maybe the answer is to have a separate category of trans sports? Let them compete but with each other to remove any of that stigma associated with being trans.
@earl-of-trumps saidIt depends a bit on the sport.

If a man has his genitals removed, the person still has a man's stature, broad shoulders, musculature, stamina, and lung capacity, all of which are in general larger and stronger than those of women in general. If such a person were then to compete in womens' weightlifting or soccer competitions, for example, said person would have an unfair advantage.
It goes the other way, too. Women in general have a higher body-fat-to-muscle ratio than men in general, and this gives women a slight advantage in certain other sports, notably swimming the English Channel where retaining body heat is more important than muscle. So a cis-woman who becomes a man and enters such a mens' competition would have an unfair advantage.
The solution is pretty simple and merely requires public financing: we already have para-olympics and other sports events for physically handicapped persons. We just need to implement a separate class of events for non-cis-males and non-cis-females, so that there is again some sort of physical parity.
I am not prepared to discuss public toilets. That issue is too absurd to bother discussing. No man is going have his goolies cut off just so he can go into womens' public toilets and sneak a peek at someone when he can much more easily get lewd photos of anything that twiddles his diddles online.
@sonhouse saidOh, no. I’m not offering a solution.

I do recognise the problem.
However, the above mentioned example (in the OP) is neither proof nor “the reason why” .
@earl-of-trumps saidDepends on the sport. The Trans women in sports debate should not be used as a vehicle to demonise Trans women, but football is clearly a sport where most trans women would have a physical advantage over most cis woman.

On the good news front that was probably one of the few games that Wrexham have ever won.

... he'd be a Eunuch 😆
Actually, moonbus, I've been in this type if debate before, and I can tell you that there is no such thing as
a sport where women dominate or are even close to equal. I thought that women would excel in "jockey"
because women weigh less, and it is the horse that does all the work. Well, I figured wrong lol
I think the men owned the top 70 places in the "best jockey" rating.
Back to the drawing board.
@athousandyoung saidYes, of course.
It is important to understand that trans people (usually) do not define themselves by whether they've had the surgery or not.
I came to the conclusion long ago - that some are attention seekers, some are opportunists, and some are legit.
The rapist of Loudoun County, Virginia, is a perfect tell. This highschooler one day puts on a skirt and says he is a girl.
He goes into the school girls room, climbs under a stall and rapes the occupant. They place the perp in another school
within the district, where he repeats himself - climbs under a stall and rapes the occupant. He also raped
another girl, but not on school property. So here's what I see:
This so-called female has the body of a male, and he surely has the sexual appetite of a male. Yet society is so
enthralled with these transpeople, they take his word for it that he is trans, and get angry when people question him.
Or - how many times do you read about a male prisoner suddenly becoming a woman and demanding to
be placed into the women's facility. Pregnancies follow. How numb can people be.
@shavixmir saidThe example shows the disparity between the sexes. And I understand that one game is not proof, but c'mon, shav.

@earl-of-trumps saidIt’s like watching a dog race against turtles and sayijng it’s proof that cats can’t compete.

@shavixmir
Maybe a male to fem change playing in women's sports, just drop a few points on the convert, not sure how that would work though. You get a 2 point penalty for being a changeover🙂
Funny nobody talks about female to male conversion getting into male sports. What's up with that?

@earl-of-trumps saidyou're making an argument about an entire group of people based on the actions of one (fictional or not) individual?
Yes, of course.

Do you support banning men from being priests, teachers, coaches, etc based on the actions quite a few more rapists and pedophiles?
