From the link below:

"Donald Trump is questioning his administration’s aggressive strategy in Venezuela following the failure of a US-backed effort to oust Nicolás Maduro, complaining he was misled about how easy it would be to replace the socialist president with a young opposition figure, according to administration officials and White House advisers.

The president’s dissatisfaction has crystallised around national security adviser John Bolton and what Mr Trump has groused is an interventionist stance at odds with his view that the United States should stay out of foreign quagmires."

I think the article was originally from The Independent. I am not familiar with that news source. Is it a reliable source?

Just call it Machiavellian and you can live in denial there is evil. Kissinger got the peace prize so he must be Machiavellian instead of evil. That is how some people think.

I don't agree with Donald Trump very often, but he has the right idea on this issue. America is not on this planet to police the globe, and John Boulton's "send in the Marines" solution to every foreign policy hiccup doesn't make much sense to me. I find it interesting though that as much as Trump criticized President Obama's foreign policy, their ideas in this area are very much alike.

Well comeuppance is on its way in the form of impeachment. It seems more and more inevitable as much as Pelosi has turned down the rhetoric of impeachment, the more we suss out about that traitor Trump the more we realize we have no choice but to impeach this son of a bitch. Of course the evidence is going to have to be extremely strong for the sycophants of Trump in the senate to see he is in absolute fact a traitorous son of a bitch who never did and never will have the interest of the country at heart but ONLY his own enterprises helped out by Russian money.

He is trying to overthrow a democracy and it is other things that will get him impeached? Why don't you just say you condone overthrowing democracies? If that will not get him impeached nothing will.

Funny how no debates about Venezuela being a democracy or not are not allowed on the corporate news media. Debates lead to the truth being exposed. Can't have that.

Are you kidding? He is doing his best to overthrow OUR democracy. What do you think is going on where he and his sycophants in the senate have fast tracked MANY lower case judges to be a fund of Trumpites so legal cases will be hopefully decided in Trump's favor? To say nothing of the two sycophants he already put in SCOTUS. Do you seriously think for instance, that Kavanaugh is a person of the moral and independent character to be sitting on THAT seat?
It is obvious Roe V Wade is going to be a thing of the past, K has already made that plain as day.
The whole motivation for that is not specifically the abortion issue. The real issue is to get back where men control the lives of women. That is a fact.
