Biden could gain a lot of credibility here if he were to release his tax returns, in advance of being elected.

The deadline for filing a 2019 Federal Tax Return was extended to July 15, 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/payment-deadline-extended-to-july-15-2020#:~:text=The%202019%20income%20tax%20filing,extended%20until%20July%2015%2C%202020.
It seems likely the Bidens applied for an automatic six month extension, so his returns for 2019 wouldn't be due until next month.
EDIT: You can see all the Bidens tax returns from 1998-2018 by clicking on the year in this article: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/sep/10/joe-biden/fact-checking-joe-bidens-claim-about-his-own-incom/
@suzianne saidSue, if that were the case how would he have accomplished over 100 great accomplishments. You can see them listed on the Internet. Do you have a relative that is a veteran? Check out what he did with him while he was watching TV and eating hamburgers
How much of that 16 hours a day is spent in front of the tube watching Fox News while throwing back Big Macs? And golf.
@moonbus saidIt would also help if he would release everything that has happened in his family, especially with Hunter regarding money..

@averagejoe1 saidor the biden foundation he created after leaving office in 2017. What is it with all these dem politicians and foundations? uh...tax free foundations.

@mott-the-hoople saidNo one on this thread will step up and admit to realization that the tax laws are quit complicated for a businessman like Trump. For instance, if a guy loses big time in one year, they allow him to carry losses forward, blah blah, very complicated. Everyone in the world, maybe in Africa, or even joe Biden, will take advantage of tax loopholes. Biden signed off on probably all of them. Note that nothing is mentioned about the other taxes paid by Trump, the millions in payroll taxes, prop taxes, unemployment for the Thousands of employees he hires. Goodness, there I go supporting that sob again!

@no1marauder saidThe top 25% of earners pay 86% of all taxes received by the government....the revenues used to run this country. Thankyou, 'rich' people. An thanks for hiring my uncle Henry who puts lug nuts on the tires at the factory,, and just started a nut business on the side. He will be RICH one day!
"We may live in polarized times, but there’s one belief that Americans of all races, genders, and political persuasions can get behind: Tax the Rich!

Oh, libs......... what is the deal? Is it jealousy? Hey, here is a question which you will not answer seriously...How much more should those rich people pay? How much is enough? And while I am at it, why have none of you EVER defined what a Living Wage is? I can get you on FOX news if you can give a cogent answer to that.

Just a word here to clear up a basic misconception,
I see Democratic hacks in the media claim that Trump is fake billionaire and a scam
artist for passing himself off as a successful businessman.
That is because these hacks, as well as most Americans are quite ignorant as to
what Trump's tax returns mean in regard to his wealth.
Trump's ASSETS are not under scrutiny in any way in his income tax filings.
He is still a wealthy person who has not increased his wealth via cash income
in recent years but surely has increased wealth via equity increase over those years
Silly democrats :-)
@averagejoe1 saidlibs are not dedicated enough to get into the nut business, just whine when a guy makes it big in the nut business.

@mott-the-hoople saidA great point in this forum. I really dont know what libs do. They ignore Trump economic victories (yeah, we know that O set him up!) and rail on, instead of spending their time improving their lot in life. There is so much opportunity. During Trump's term, median household income rose 6.8% in 2018. For blacks,7.9%, Hispanics 7.1%. Asian, 10%. Avg household is $68K, when it was $55K under Obama.
libs are not dedicated enough to get into the nut business, just whine when a guy makes it big in the nut business.
The income under Obama in 8 years went up only $3000. Under Trump, we got more in 1 year than Obama did in Eight!!!!! Why does the media cover this up,
and write about his bad breath and watching too much TV? Why do our posters do it?
Under obama , 800,000 people were added to poverty. Trump lifted 4,000,000 people OUT of poverty....in THREE YEARS.. Can not ONE lib here acknowledge that? Naaah, lets all write about rich people should not be rich....uhh, I think that is what y'all are saying. Hell, I dont know what yall are saying.

We do know he has over $400 million in debt coming due in the next few years with no obvious ability to pay it.
@moonbus saidToday the Bidens released their 2019 return showing they paid $299K in Federal income taxes or about 30% of their $985K income.https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/518757-biden-releases-2019-tax-returns-hours-before-first-presidential-debate

Trump's Lower corp taxes provided the most benefits and living standards to the blue collars. So, Why dont you say that it would be a good idea to NOT mess with corporate taxes, now at 21%. Biden wants to raise tax on rich and the corps, but I would think you fellers would see this is not a good idea, for your grandchildren. Don't you want them to be able to take a vacation to the Galapagos?? Takes more money that they'll have if your people, along with Biden, get in. They will repeal Trump tax cuts, and pick their pockets.

@no1marauder saidNo, it's not how *I* know this, it's how *everyone* knows this.

Trump does not pay income tax on any o f his buildings owned, such as Mar-a-Lago,
his golf courses, Trump towers in New York, a new hotel in Washington DC, an entire suburb
in Miami, a hotel in Hawaii, Chicago, etc etc. You get the picture, right?
Or at least honest readers will.
Trump owns at least 20 major properties in the US, mostly hotels and golf courses.
Then there is his international holdings, too. All of the assets above are not subject
to "income tax".
The guy's loaded.
