Trump Indicted Over January 6th Conspiracy

Debates

@AverageJoe1
So whatever you are talking about, all that rationalizes the attack on Jan 6?
Does the fake elector scheme mean nothing? Do you deny that happened?
Do you deny if Pence had gone on with it and accepted those fake electors do you really think there would be no constitutional crisis? He saved our ass that day and got the wrath of Trump as a result. Trump actually SAID "You are TOO HONEST", Do you deny that? That says nothing about his mind set?

That'd be a safe bet because I already said:

"Not too bothered with your link."

I was commenting on the 'fight like hell' quote. What I've been reading is the repetitive posts repetitively quoting 'fight like hell'. It shouldn't be in there. If he said "break some windows, meander about the Capitol taking selfies' ok, then good point, you'd have a point.
"Fight like hell" which you then cut off was followed by "or you're not going to have a country." This was followed by a long litany of election fraud claims, all of which as shown in the indictment, Donald Trump had been told were baseless by relevant State officials and/or his own DOJ or other advisors.

It's all part of the puzzle; what did Donald Trump want the crowd of supporters he summoned to Washington to do while Congress certified what he kept telling them was a stolen election? Do some chanting and then go home?

I am saying that lib sign carriers are 'fighiting like hell' to save babies. But peacefully. Don't you see. So, how can you fault Trump for saying fight like hell....peacefully. You give me a headache Sonhouse.
As to elector scheme, I don't study election fights, as I have always thought Trump lost, and the fat Stacy Abram lost in Ga. Past history. Sorry you are so overwrought. Your time would be better-spent composing.
I know Trump has a knee jerk mindset, and that he has his own way of talking to Pence, who worked for him. My boss cussed me out many years ago. (He ended up working for me!). So I see no problem with their relationship.
Get out of the weeds, man. Same ole same ole

Geez. The baby abortion people were 'fighting like hell" (peacefully with their march and signs). The 'fight' paid off, because they prevailed at SCOTUS. So, Marauder, read that as "If you don't fight against abortion,,,,,,you will not win!!!!!" That is what Trump was saying, same concept. (This point has nothing to do with his intent or plans, which only you and Sonhouse seem to know about,,,,,what Trump was thinking!!!!)

Pretty elementary argument, throw us another.

A fallacious argument since once the election was certified by Congress any chance to "stop the steal" would have ceased to exist.

The so called fake electors happened before in 1960 and they were not prosecuted. Now they are. Ask Dana Nessel. Why are they being prosecuted now? Because of the election outcome?

Whether or not it is illegal should not depend on the outcome of the election.

That is speech. There is nothing illegal about saying that. Even the indictment said that. What are you thinking?

@AverageJoe1
So don't look into the fake elector scheme so you can plead ignorance. The fact is you are afraid of looking into those charges because it just MIGHT shake your confidence in your god king and THAT you cannot abide under ANY circumstances.

@Metal-Brain
You cherry pick one or two statements and THINK you are somehow winning an argument when in fact you know nothing about the case since you refuse to even look at the actual indictment, the case is rock solid because the witnesses are Trump's own appointees and Pence is now willing to reveal all that Trump told him to do and some of that near midnight AFTER Jan 6 rioters left for the night, Trump didn't stop trying to convince Pence to accept the fake electors and stop the count, something Pence repeatedly told Trump he did not have the authority to do but Trump kept at it trying to convince Pence to break the law.
And OF COURSE you will find some RUMBLESHYTE you THINK will refute all of that but Pence WILL testify and is not afraid of Trump now.
Trump threatened Pence's life and then the crowd goes HANG MIKE PENCE.
Sure, they just made that shyte up on the spot totally spontaneously with no input from anyone.
Good luck with THAT one.
EVERYONE here knows you are a BS artist at best but I think you hate the US and will do anything to help destroy democracy here because you HATE democracy, instead want the world to go communist, since that form of 'government' ends up SO well.....

@sonhouse
Stopping the count is not against the law. That happened in 2000 with Bush v. Gore
Besides, Democrats tried to steal the election from Trump. How was that any better?

It would make a difference if 'fight like hell' were followed by 'smash some windows, put your feet up on pelosis desk, steal a lecturn, take some selfies, stay within the rope cordons'.

But 'or you're not going to have a country' is typical campaign speak.

So could you. If you had read it yourself you would know the indictment said that lying about elections is not illegal. It is party about the so called fake electors, but that happened before in 1960 and they were not prosecuted. Now they are. Ask Dana Nessel.
No, but inciting a crowd to attack the Capitol to interrupt the peaceful transfer of power IS.

And just stop lying.

Stop lying about what happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

You're disgusting. All your talk about being against force and use of force, then you defend the Capitol insurrectionists?

Zero credibility. Thanks for playing. I hope defending slime like Trump is worth it to you.

You've already been told that faithless electors are not the same as fake electors. Stop with the goalpost moving.

Stop lying!

Trump did not tell a crowd to enter the Capitol Building. That was Ray Epps and why has he not been indicted? Epps was trespassing on Capitol grounds. He broke the law and despite claiming he was going to be charged with that crime he has not.
