This is corruption out in the open, the bar is now so low as to be underground at this point.
What does it take for his base to realize how corrupt Trump is?
One of his pardons, a dude who stole one BILLION dollars from Medicare.
And near 90% are in some way associated with Trump.
More pardons for his buddies, and you notice he hasn't pardoned Michael Cohen...
Pardons for the son in law of a Russian oligarch who gave them democrat poll data.
So far 45 pardons and of course he is not don slapping the face of the justice department.
This is shameful, reprehensible even for Trump.
There have to be new laws limiting the pardon power of POTUS.
If we win the two senate seats in Georgia that might happen but of course it will NEVER happen if Moscow Mitch is still in charge of the senate.
@sonhouse saidI personally know someone who testified against those Blackwater a--holes.

Disgusting that these bastards get off scot free.
@cheesemaster saidWhat’s America got do with it these were contract killers killing civilians for fun
Iraqi who?
Exactly...😏
Welcome home boys...hope you had some fun in Iraq ...I've got steaks on the BBQ and beer in the fridge...
The stripper will be over later 😋
God bless America 🤗
.Goddam Trumptards and the American right.
Has anyone taken the time to compare President Trump's numbers to previous presidents? I think he has to pardon many more if he wants to catch up with most of the previous presidents.
Whining about a president's legal actions isn't going to change anything. Why not be productive and talk to your elected politicians about changing existing laws so that the practice of slapping the justice system in the face on your way out of the white house is not allowed.
I'm not sure why any president is even allowed to have that kind of power at all, but it is what it is until "We The People" get the politicians who work for us to change it.
We probably have some legal experts here at RHP who can explain how all of this is allowed and how to fix it, but I'm not one of them!
@Cheesemaster
So the only thing that would change for you is if it was the Proud Boys killing 14 people in YOUR town.
You are one disgusting human being, if indeed you ARE human.
@mwmiller
FDR did the most but he had 4 terms. 2800 or so.
It is not the quantity that bothers me, it is the corruption in back of the Trump pardons that REALLY bothers me.
Pardoning convicted killers and disgraced congressmen who supported Trump and the like, some 80 % are in some way associated with the Mueller probe, and then there is Roger Stone and Paul Manafort and Flynn, who now is back in the WH 'advising' Trump.
And of course there will be not a word from ANY republican about this dark stain on our justice system.
What will be the next monkey wrench? Air strikes in Iran? THAT I would not put it past him JUST TO MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR BIDEN.
Trump has no morals of any kind. No empathy.
@sonhouse
So you don't like Trump. I think we all get that.
But what do you think about ANY president having the power to grant pardons, commute sentences, etc.? Should the president be allowed to overrule decisions of the justice system at all in that manner?
@mwmiller saidIf he had pardoned someone like Fate Vincent Winslow, who was re-sentenced and released this past week, I'd have no problem with it.

Pardoning actual criminals, not so much.
@cheesemaster saidI don't think your post will go over well with the evangelical base. 😛

@mwmiller saidI like the idea that someone can cut through the red tape and right a blatantly obvious wrong, but this is more like a war lord springing his thugs out of jail in time for the next rape and pillage season.

I don’t think a POTUS should have the ability to pardon a known associate and certainly not his family. It’s a bit extreme, but what if he pardons someone whose convicted of killing his political opponents, is that technically ok?
It’s hard to understand what purpose the framers expected this oddity to fulfil in the political or judicial system.
@kevcvs57 saidThe problem here is not the MURDERERS but TRUMP. A hated man can do no right. Murderers, pedophiles, rapists are being pardoned all over the USA all the time and not a soul complains.
