At only 150 yards and straight on shot they could count the pimples on his face with their optics but can’t see the guy crawl up with a rifle in front of them at this level?
Those scopes also have zero peripheral vision and they make images darker because they spread out the same amount of light over a larger area when they magnify the image.
I would really like to find out where you are getting your info from because I can't find the details you are talking about.
