He began on Jan 20 to not only change the US, but to change global policy, global order. He had these 4 years to plan strategy...he thinks many steps ahead. He realized that the white working class was moving to the Republicans.
He is always setting up the next deal, the next negotiation, the next transaction. This is why things seem so chaotic to you conspiracy theorists, who are WAY off base.
Contrary to some of you, he is committed to lower taxes, less regulation, and the ability of foreign competitors to take advantage of our open USA economy.
The dems are in an idealogical civil war, between the radical leftists (you guys) and the classical liberals. They are crippled. I do not see how that can be resolved soon. I have met with some sharp people and these are but a few conclusions of our meeting, and I will say more later. I have a meeting!!

@AverageJoe1 saidWhat you mean to say is that the Heritage Foundation, the authors of Project 2025, had 4 years to strategize his takeover of the largest democracy on earth.

Trump can't strategize what he's eating today, for God's sake.
In fact, he was heard mumbling under his breath one night while asleep, "The same thing we do every night, Pinky... Try to take over the world!"
And to think you went to college to learn how to spell "ulterior".
@AverageJoe1 saidCommitted to lower taxes? He just raised taxes.

@Arkturos saidI will admit I have a very hard time understanding the sheer, bottomless ignorance of AvJoe, which is so profound and void of self-awareness that sometimes I'm convinced he/it is an AI bot that's using the forum for training, or otherwise is just trolling for laughs. The slavish, mindless devotion to Trump, as if he were some sort of Nietzschean superman or divine entity, is the kind of stuff you find in North Korea, or the imagination of a child.
I'm starting to think this is either a Russian or PRC account.
So yes, I can't really take AvJoe seriously as a genuine human. Even the hours he keeps here would push the limits of a human. It's like his entire life revolves around this backwater forum. If he's not AI, then he's become as mindless as AI, with all his human qualities (except fear and hatred) largely drained out of him. It's what cults do.
@wildgrass saidMaybe AvJoe thinks the governments or businesses of nations exporting goods to the US will eat the tariffs, leaving prices the same on store shelves. Of course, if he thinks that, then he's missing what Trump himself says of tariffs, which is that they're supposed to FORCE consumers to buy US-made products, because they'll be cheaper in comparison. That's how manufacturing is going to somehow magically come back to the US. Never mind that that won't happen unless 150% tariffs were in place for at least 10 or 15 years. Maybe.

It's breathtaking to see the Luddite mentality of the GOP in play. Bring back coal. Fight LED lights and renewable energy sources. Bring back factories. Get rid of public education. Get rid of vaccines and medical research, and just take vitamin pills. Don't regulate the vitamin pills, though. Fight low-emission and electric vehicles. But buy Musk's glued-together pieces of crap that will steer you into a ditch. Fight public transportation, then force desk-jockeys to do their work by driving to some building rather than working remotely from home. Bring back the family. But force mom and dad to both work far from home, leaving the kids without parental supervision. Let factories and mines dump their poisons into the local water supply, because it's cheaper.
The buggy whip lobby has never had it so good in over 125 years.
@Soothfast saidI understand your saying all that, respectfully indeed. But my comments standing up next to those of all you guys are REALLy what one would consider totally off the wall. Take tender women having to fight off a guy at a volley ball net. I consider that to be abominable. Y'all think it is cool, and you have never justified allowing it. Marauder simply says that ticket-taker at a card table can wave the man on in to the net.

So you think I am just crazy to think that. You think that I should think like you do. The REASON you think that I should think like you do is because of the nature of your relationships with other liberals...you all think alike, in lockstep.
I think this was a good explanation. I don't know why you mentioned Trump. I dont keep writing about Kamala, etc. I write about events.

@AverageJoe1 saidWhat? You don't even acknowledge that he just last week now raised taxes per family by thousands of dollars per year? Sidestepped Congress? Ignored economists? Tanked the stock market?

Wherever one stands on the issue of trans individuals participating in sports, it's not the business of the federal government to decide what's right or wrong about it. Ya'll are conservatives, right? You fellers ought to be all for small government. Let communities, towns, and states decide. No, ya'll want the swamp in DC to decide what's to be done. Doesn't make sense, but ya'll are in lockstep. Western civilization itself hangs in the balance, depending on who's playing in that women's volleyball team. Get a grip, little fellers.
Note: you changed the subject of the thread. Again.

I'll try again. Soothfast...Do you think men should be allowed compete against women in sports? That is yes or no. If it is a Women's Competition written on the door, that means women. It could be chess or boxing or anything.
Let's let you answer this.
Yes, we all know that we can ask the question in diff ways to confuse everyone. Like....'Allowed by whom!?!!?!??!?!?" Allowed by you, Soothfast. Let's try it that way. You are at your neighborhood pool, all the girls say 'let's race'. The boy neighbor of yours asks 'Can I race against the girls?" Or , you are olympic chair, and a man wants to enter the Women's Wrestlling matches.. Will you let men enter the event? Soothfast?
@AverageJoe1 saidIf you didn't want to bring up trans people playing volleyball, then why did you bring it up here?

This is one of your myriad faults: dishonesty. Absolute dishonesty. Here, in a thread about Trump started by you, and you bring up for the umpteenth time your fascination with the disposition of athletes' genitals.
Of course we know why you're bringing it up here. And because I sincerely believe you suffer from some form of dementia, I'll remind you:
