And even more importantly, our system does not allow the executive to kill people without having such "intel" being reviewed by an impartial judge except in emergency circumstances. No such "emergency" has even been claimed in this case.
I think it is worth reflecting on the fact that these drugs brought into the US result in the deaths of tens of thousands annually. Some years, the number is greater than 100,000.
While some of this is the choice of the users, it is also the case that they are not in their right minds since they are so drug-addled.
Waging war on the drug suppliers makes sense to me. It's a better use of American resoruces than continuing to lose against Russia in Ukraine, or in sponsoring the genocide of Gaza, that's for sure.
