I've always said that the biggest disappointment I had in Trump is just that - his deficit spending.

Point taken. I meant that more in the context of real debate that we don't get all too often anymore. The comparison between a propaganda-fueled argument and a fact-based argument requiring the individual to weigh both options, I still think the facts would win.
Is anyone watching the debates in the US politics. Ron desantis winning in the Florida poll for governor by 10 points but his opponent was wiping the floor with him during the debate. No one really cares.

The biggest issue facing the US is the preservation of democracy in the US.
Whenever I hear US Presidents call America the shining light in the sky during their state of the union addresses, it is because the US is the shing light for4 democracy around the world.
This is not about which country has the best democratic system, it is about which country best represents democracy.
Whenever, someone mentions Trump's name, I can only think about a mob entering the Capitol with baseball bats !!
And Trump has smeared democracy long before that day.
If the GOP takes the House and the Senate and the White House in 24, as long as Trump is nowhere in the picture, then I'm sure most people can live with that.
Trump 2024....in prison.

For now that is Democrats (not Biden) based on their track record on this issue, and the existence of a plan. Republicans do not care about anything except opposition. They can't lead . I wish more conservatives cared about reckless spending.
