If it were actually eco- then maybe.
There's not much eco about these things though.

I have, last month, moved house out of a village that is next door to to one of these proposed sites.

Here is something that I believe is gaining more interest due to fuel prices, and there effect on the environment.

No -- I can't imagine living with a bunch of neo-hippies that wear clothes they knitted from the fur of their dogs.

Speaking of a lack of imiagination (sic), am I the only one tired of hippies wagging their dirty finger in my face and telling me how bad I am because I don't lead a carbon neutral lifestyle like them? They been espousing the end of the world since there were hippies and we're all still here defying their auguries. On a related note, just last night I swore off The Biggest Loser because the producers have decided to make their show "green." Every commercial break I was reminded I'm bad because I'm not as "green" as the producers or the people on the show. Are these companies that advertise on television really "green" or are they just trying to hop on the "green" bandwagon? Seriously, how "green" can a Lexus be?

I forgot to ask why: Do you have a sweater knitted from dog hair?

If you don't know then maybe you need to stop listening to what your tv tells you.

That was a rhetorical question.

You're way off the mark here, I think. These towns are not meant for a hippy demographic but people in advertising & law. Satellite suburbs. Perpetual commute. Harleys on the weekend.

I guess all the talk about these towns being the new reinterpretation of "old green" threw me off then.
