British 'veterans' needing medical treatment have to queue up with the rest of us and may have to wait months for an operation like the rest of us who have to rely on the NHS for which we pay heavily in taxation rather than insurance.
If we want prompt treatment we have to pay for private insurance as well.

OK I'll repost the offending line for those who are being intentionally stupid and pretending they don't get it:

"Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance."

You honestly are telling me you don't see what's wrong with that?

I knew there'd be some chuckleheads that wouldn't be able to help themselves and support the idea just to be jerks. The usual suspects crawled out of the woodwork.

There's nothing wrong with it per se, it's just a problem in the US because health care insurance is so laughably expensive there.

Nothing wrong with requiring someone injured through military service to pay for medical treatment of their service connected inuries?

I knew that there would be people on this site who would say that. Just wanted to see who they were.

Just amazing.

I'm sure that's how they do it here, since everyone is forced to be privately insured.

The wrong in it is that you're not giving respect for you debaters.
If you call them stupeid, what does that say about yourself?

If you are not clear and call others stupid because they cannot read your mind, and *you* call *them* stupid?
Thats stupid

Then you deserves no respect either, nor your opinion in this matter...

Why are you here anyway? To share opinions with people you don't respect? Like entering a synagogue with a swastica on your back...

They're not being serious, they're pretending to not understand because they want to be contrary. Like you. Willfull stupidity in order to have an arguing point is contemptuous behaviour and should be treated as such.

I think everyone, vets included, should have access to health care, but whether or not that means having private insurance makes little difference. I can live on benefits and still get private health insurance.

As a student I receive government and corporate scholarships and a card which allows me to travel with public transport for free.

So why not being clearer? By being unclear you cannot be properly understood. If you don't understand that, you're stupid.

I give you an example: Toisdfliubrty! Did you understand? No? Then *you* are supid! Do you understand now?

Now, be a good boy and apologize. Then be clearer in the future. And behave...
