From the link below:

The semi-official Iranian news agency YJC agency said on Tuesday the US move “demonstrates that calls for freedom of speech are lies”.

Time for VPN. It is the only way to know what the other side of the story is. Without it you will be left in the dark.

Every state has the right to protect itself from opposing regimes I’m sure Iran exercises that right vigorously enough.
What do you think Iran’s truth would look like?

The link says the U.S. removed "state-linked" sites. In other words, websites run by the state of Iran.

If the U.S. removed privately owned sites, that would be a different issue. But removing possible propaganda from an authoritarian regime? I'm not so sure.

The article (as far as I can see) doesn't list why the sites were removed. You have to register to read the rest of it. We need to know why those sites were removed.

Yes I would most certainly approve of another regime blocking the ‘Voice of America’ or any other state sponsored / collaborative news outlet.
I’d be amazed if Iran wasn’t blocking it in some way.

Great. I say block everything from Iran. Nobody is interested in what they have to say. The US and Israel can keep an eye on their nuclear developments from satellite imagery and monitor their progress in making nuclear weapons. Thats all thats important. As soon as they have enough weapons grade plutonium, Israel will do a fly-by and bomb it... Cool.

Iran is one of the strongest countries in Internet censorship. The Iranian government and Islamic revolutionary Guard Sepah interested to block social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Internet censorship in Iran and the NIN work like the Great Firewall of China with stricter monitoring and National Information Network was unveiled during the 2019 Iranian protests. However, Iranian politicians ordered increases Internet censorship in Iran, especially social networks like Facebook and YouTube.

Agreed. Look into VPN. The good VPN services are not free, but the premium VPN networks enable streaming for free from certain streaming services like Netflix and Hulu.

I wouldn’t disagree, it’s a blatant propaganda tool. The Voice of anything or anyone should be viewed with extreme suspicion.
