Don't worry, whodey, in true Ouroboros fashion, the Republican Party has turned this around and now their favorite country to meddle in the heretofore free elections of is the good ol' USA. First was 2000, then again in 2016. The only thing the rest of us can hope for is that they make it SO obvious in 2020, that even people like you can't miss it.

The US has meddled in elections for years. There's even a cover of Time magazine that is a cartoon of Boris Yeltsin and it celebrates "How US Advisors & Donors Made Yeltsin Premier of Russia" (paraphrase).
You can look at the USAID budget nad find massive investments in foreign countries to promote LGBTQ. This doesn't even include the sort of covert spending and intelligence operations that happen in those places.
And Russia may have spent tiddly-wink chump change in the US election via... FACEBOOK ADS (lol)... and they are pretending this is an assault on democracy, eroding all of our values.

It's been over a year. It's really basically been 1.9 years of this sort of stuff.
It's just going to be a stalling, distraction tactic for another 1-2 years and people will try to paint this same portrait as Pres. Trump runs for reelection in 2020.
... Will you literally still be talking about when Mueller reveals the big truth then?

Good point. It is like saying "when we become dictators it is because we are good dictators with good intentions. We subvert democracy for the right reasons. Trust us. It is the other dictators you can't trust. We handle power better than them."

There is no evidence of collusion with Russia, but there is evidence that Debbie Wasserman Shultz and Donna Brazil meddled in our elections. Debbie conspired against Sanders and Donna conspired with Hitlery against Trump.
