How retarded is that? Especially the comment about these being "Candian wolves. The only place they belong is in a zoo, neutered." Does that guy wonder why the wolves were put there? They were reintroduced because they were either forced out by humans, or hunted by them. Now that they get their home back, they are critisized for eating animals that weren't originally there, that were introduced by humans. Any thoughts?

I read the book

Our elk herd and deer population is way down from what it used to be, Believe me. Why do you think we killed them in the first place? I don't know one person in the State of Wyoming that is in favor of letting the wolves protected, There is way to many of them, Not to mention that one chased my horse through a fence, and bruised it all up, and one got my sisters colt and we almost had to put it down, and foot is still cut badly from it. It amazes me that people from back East control what we do in Wyoming. Once I was 10 miles on horses back into the mountains, in a blazing snow storm, camping in a tent, when in the middle of the night, a pack of wolves surrounded us, and started howling, and scared the living daylights out of me, I mean, I camped around grizzlies some, But wolves, their howl is very erry, and nothing like a coyote which I'm very used to.

The wolves left that morning, and we searched for 2 days, and all elk tracks were heading out, we didn't see one elk or deer, normally theres hundres of elk there, and one pack of wolf clenaed out that whole entire area. If only you knew how much they affect natural wildlife. Baby moose population last I heard was around 5 % survival rate, and baby elk population was was around 25 % success rate last I heard in my area, thanks mostly to the wolves. Wyoming is Suing the feds over it, and I think its one of the top news in 05. Wolves should not be protected!! Its not like they will go extinct, they are hard to find, but they are running around our houses and cities, totally unafraid of people because they are not hunted, My neighbor wont even let their children go out at night because of them.
And when I see a "Save the wolves" add paid by people who dont even live close to us, it drives me crazy.
Thats one reason Im in favor of giving States way more power, and reducing Federal goverment big time
