I live In Wyoming, and I know first hand affect of wolves, I remember the days when they was NOT a problem. Our elk herd and deer population is way down from what it used to be, Believe me. Why do you think we killed them in the first place? I don't know one person in the State of Wyoming that is in favor of letting the wolves protected, There is way to ma ...[text shortened]... reason Im in favor of giving States way more power, and reducing Federal goverment big time

So are you for eradicating the mountain lions as well? I know that people were complaining that the elk and deer herds in Wyoming were too large just five years ago. If the herds are dwindling then Wyoming should issue fewer tags. The heards are dwindling because more people are moving to Wyoming. Why they are moving to Wyoming east of the Tetons you got ...[text shortened]... cats and dogs around here all the time. Should we wipe out the coyotes (good luck on that one)?

I find the thought of a pack of wild wolves (aren't tame wolves called dogs??) mauling republicans quite reassuring.
I was once attacked in my tent...by a sheep.
Originally posted by CliffLandinThat sounds like a plausable idea...get rid of the Miami Beach "social scene" while we're at it. I prefer turtles to the kind of pathetic people who populate Miami Beach now. I used to live in Miami, so I know what I'm talking about, and I'm not just talking about queers and homeless people; I'm talking about the Madonnas and Pimp Diddys that have turned Miami Beach into the Hollywierd of the east coast.....all human presence eradicated and restore it to what it used to be: a barrier Island where turtles can lay their eggs in peace....People phuk EVERTHING up EVERWHERE they put their footprints!!
When I was a child the loggerhead turtles used to lay their eggs on Miami Beach, should we blow up all the condos and hotels so that the turtles can once again lay their eggs on the beach?
Originally posted by CliffLandinActually you cant shoot a wolf if its a threat to your livestock, only if its harming your livestock, My horse ran through a fence, I couldnt shoot the wolf legally because the fence harmed it, not the wolf, if a wolf is chasing a horse to a cliff, you cant legally shoot it, because if the horse dies, its because the horse ran off the cliff, not because of the wolf chased, I know this is stupid, but thats goverment rules at work
You can shoot them if you can prove that they are a threat to your livestock. You can't just go out and shoot them just to kill them. You have to have a tag to shoot mountain lions and you can only shoot coyotes if they are threatening livestock.
You certainly cannot be blaming the wolves for the dwindling of the elk herds, they were only reintroduced ...[text shortened]... ow up all the condos and hotels so that the turtles can once again lay their eggs on the beach?
Also your wrong about coyotes, at least in my state, you can shoot them all day long, and as many as you want. Its nothing to go hunting and get 5-6 in one day.
I am blaming dwindling of the elk and deer herds because of the wolves, Why? because I seen it with my real eyes, Im in the mountians a-lot,
Originally posted by telerionYou got that right! Personaly I had way more grizzly problems then wolf problems, just the other day, I was on a hiking trail, and I looked up and about 30 yards away stood this huge grizzly on the trail. most of the time they dont bother me, its mostly when you surprise them, or hunting, or threaten the cubs
You have to admit that it's a whole lot better to go camping in wolf country than in grizzly country.
Hey, I used to live in a little town Plummer ID about 10 years ago, I never heard much about grizzlys, if any at all, do you got grizzlys there in your area? they had alot of black bears if I remember right, but here in WY I hardly (only twice) ever see a black bear. There is some neat country up in Northern Idaho
