Actually, I agree with you. It is what the Constitution says and the Civil rights laws that take away those rights is unconstitutional.
Excellent. We agree!

@sh76

But you do not care about what is Constitutional. You base your decision on fear.

Perhaps they should tatoo those who do not take a vaccination so everyone can know who they are. I am really surprised a Jew would take the position he has taken. Perhaps people who do not take the vaccine can be rounded up and put into special concentration camps to protect you.

First, I don't do slippery slope arguments. I've never been impressed with them.

But even assuming I were, I don't think it's a reasonable leap from "choice of the store owner whether to admit" to "round up and put into concentration camps."

So you will allow people who have not been vaccinated to live among you unidentified?

It is not a slippery slope.

What about the Civil rights aspect? What if taking vaccinations is against their religious beliefs?

@sh76 said
I have no desire to force it on anyone, but I think that rules made by private businesses like restaurants or sports venues that only vaccinated people are welcome are reasonable.
How are you expecting to enforce that one?

You have to laugh when an anti vaxxer conspiracy theorist accuses you of basing your decision on fear though.

@kevcvs57

Why get a vaccine unless you are afraid of catching something?

You're seriously agreeing with Eldy's premise that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is unconstitutional? And any State anti-discrimination statute as well?

Same reason why store owners should not be forced to sell food to those who do not vaccinate. Stores are private operations.

They are part of Commerce which the Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate.

It’s not fear if it’s a rational action taken to eliminate or greatly reduce your chances of catching a life threatening / changing disease!
It’s fear when you you make an irrational decision to not take that action because you’ve been scared witless by a debunked conspiracy theory.
It’s a clear case of rationale v fear and we know who the scaredy-cats are on this forum.

Whatever floats your boat.

It is rational because in your opinion the fear is real. Got it.

It is not macho, I am simply an American.
No, you are simply a stupid American.

I felt it was necessary to step in and explain the difference between you and most other Americans.

Because, well, you know...

Whatever floats your boat.
It "floated the boat" of a unanimous SCOTUS in 1964 and no Justice, not even arch right wingers like Scalia, have questioned it since.
