Honestly, I do not understand why they are here and why we keep them here. Why are they not in their own country. I am in my own country. Why don’t you fellas try to explain the basic sound reasoning to actually let them just live here. Why is it bad to send them back to their own country. I do not get it.

Here's a crazy idea:

Actually read the link you just gave. It answers your stupid question.

I read that it stops the protection of these illegals. Please correct me. You left your Post hanging for some reason.

You said you were managing a McDonald’s in Italy

Oh, that was one of my analogies. Went over the heads of some. I think it was about starting at $17/hr and moving up to being manager, and in 15 years, owning the franchise. Making about $300/hr. Instead of $17.00. Y'all were railing on about how a worker should be making a living wage, and I would say..."what if one worker is unmarried, with no children. Another has 4 children, married. Living wage for one would not also be a living wage to the other. So, query, should McDonalds pay MORE to the guy with a family (a living wage)??"
I can see while y'all hated that one. Y'all never told me how that could be made fair, and everyone have a living wage.
Prob one of my toughest. I am the anchor on the Forum, to keep it from going haywire.

They aren't "illegals". They were granted Temporary Protected Status which means:

During a designated period, individuals who are TPS beneficiaries or who are found preliminarily eligible for TPS upon initial review of their cases (prima facie eligible):

Are not removable from the United States
Can obtain an employment authorization document (EAD)
May be granted travel authorization
Once granted TPS, an individual also cannot be detained by DHS on the basis of his or her immigration status in the United States.

I haven't read the SCOTUS decision on the government's application for emergency relief which would terminate this status for some Venezuelans, so I can't comment on it.

Why is a group 'protected'? When my cousin lands at LaGuardia from London in June, he will legally be here. He will never be 'protected' any more than I am when I meet up with him on his next leg, to his destination.
Tell us all why he is not protected , but that the Venezuelans are protected? That is a fair question. We are all sitting at starbucks. It is the first of several questions on which to expound, but can this just lay a groundwork, a basis?
(If you say that we are ALL protected, why is he, and me for that matter, not referred to as protected, but the V's are?)

No homework needed. They came here illegally, man. You avoid a straight answer as usual. The subject Venezuelans are part of 486,000 illegal aliens. These new laws y’all keep coming up with, quite selective when one considers the pitiful innocent wretches from Haiti, et al, do not negate their history of breaking our laws of entry. America is not a charity. America is not a charity. Biden makes mess, Trump cleans mess. Time to go home. Trump not sending my UK cousin home.
Here is a link which you do not disclose on this thread. So I am doing my homework. Please close or make whole your posts.

Approximately 486,000 Venezuelans were unauthorized as of mid-2023, according to Migration Policy Institute (MPI) estimates. Venezuela ranked as the fifth largest origin country for unauthorized immigrants in the United States, accounting for 4 percent of all 13.7 million unauthorized immigrants.Feb 6, 2025

Please.

Read my own article? It is incomplete, isn’t it? Why? Why did the writer not tell his subscribers that they were unauthorized to be here? Illegal? Should he not have said ‘ protrected since they were illegal’? Are we sposed to just assume or surmise?

Ask the German Jews in 1940 why they didn't just go back to their country.

Oh wait. They DID.

To use your logic, we should admit into the USA all of the Russian men who are being rounded up to go to their deaths in the Ukraine war.
Everyone who has serious problems, come to America.
Biden dies next month, Kamala becomes president, gets her plane, and then creates a LOT of entitlements to feed them all, and all is wel!?!?!?

So we ARE a charity, with no boundaries. Would you be in that entitlement line, perhaps?

If you don't like it, CHANGE.THE.LAW! 😆

Why when laws result in things people don't like is changing the law the LAST thing on everyone's mind?!? Repubs control both houses and the WH. I don't get it. We've forgotten how representative democracy functions?

BTW, you were fine letting in Afrikaaners. I'm not even sure their problems were that serious, comparatively. 😆
