W.H.O. Admits Lockdowns Resulted in Dramatic Rise in Mental Health Problems
The World Health Organization (WHO) has admitted that the very lockdown policies it advocated for have been instrumental in a drastic increase in mental health issues on a global scale.

In a report published on Friday, the World Health Organization claimed that anxiety and depression rose globally by a staggering @25-per-cent in the first year of Chinese coronavirus lockdowns, alone. As a result, the report estimated that over @one-billion people worldwide are now suffering from mental health issues.

And let us not forget about suicides too. But the people knew intuitively, it was wrong.

If people now have a mental health issue because of the lockdowns, chances are they had it before and were just covering up, or getting by with it. Although it never fails to shock me how weak people can be.

How do you know this?

Gee anxiety and depression increased during a deadly pandemic that killed millions worldwide.

Who would have thought?

No, lockdowns didn't cause that; dead and sick friends, relatives and loved ones might though.

Nowhere does the W.H.O say they were "wrong".

The alternative was their possible death. At least they can receive mental health treatment; dead people get nothing.

Wrong.

Don't bother asking how I know. You'll never accept the answer.

I'm not sure I like informing you of this, but it's absolutely true: there are lives worse than death.

That doesn't mean they were wrong.
They admitted that there were additional effects due to the lockdown.
And the lockdowns in general still did more good than harm.
Are you still taking off your shoes before boarding planes at airports ??

Depends on where you were. China and north korea, as examples, really screwed up

1 billion people…
What’s the source?
Oh, Breitbart.

Jesus fukking christ. How realistic is it that 1 in 7 people are depressed because of a bloody lockdown?

How many prisoners are depressed?
How many people do you know are depressed since lockdowns started?

Seriously. You people are fukking moronic.

OK I actually downloaded the report (you can to at https://www.who.int/publications/i/item/9789240049338). Here's what I found at Page xiv:

"Among its many impacts, the COVID-19 pandemic has created a global crisis for mental health, fuelling short- and long-term stresses and undermining the mental health of millions.
For example, estimates put the rise in both anxiety and depressive disorders at more than 25% during the first year of the pandemic."

No mention of lockdowns; it blames the increase on the pandemic itself.

I'll look deeper but it seems quite possible Breitbart deliberately misstated what the study actually said.

EDIT: "The mental health needs of people affected by conflicts, disasters and disease outbreaks have become widely recognized, and mental health is frequently, though not always,
addressed as part of crisis responses." p. 4

EDIT2: "Most
recently, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the mental health and well-being of so many, both with and without pre-existing conditions, and has exacerbated social inequalities as
well as systemic weaknesses in services." p. 6

Lockdowns caused more problems than Covid ever could. Mental health, undiagnosed cancers and heart problems, cancelled or postponed hospital appointments, children's development and schooling.
You would have to be in total denial to still believe that the CCP lockdowns were necessary for a virus that over 99.9% of people who contracted it, recovered from and the average age of mortality was +83yo which, by the way, corresponds with every other viral infection data.
At some point the reality will sink in and you will acknowledge that lockdowns and other punitive measures like mask wearing, were a complete waste of time.
