The founding fathers didn't write it, nor should we need to guess the intent. All persons born here are citizens. If it can be interpreted in another way I'm not sure that person has sound mind.

The scenario you describe is silly and surely not the intent of whoever wrote the 14th amendment. But that's not SCOTUS job to change what is so clearly written into the constitution.
‘’’’so clearly’’’???
Man if it is ‘clear’ why so much discussion about it in many venues of the courts, Juris Doctors, and forum members like Suzianne..??

How, in the name of God, does it hurt you personally to have a child of immigrants be a US citizen? It doesn't take your citizenship away, it doesn't take food out of your mouth, it doesn't make you sell your home, it doesn't do ANYthing to you.

You are, however, a victim of your own hatred. How do you sleep at night?
This one talks like there is ONE!!! One fox was in my henhouse out back, lost 2 chickens.
Granny and I, settin’ on the porch y’stday ev’nen, she says,,
“” imagine if a whole skulk of fox come in here during the night,,,,,we’d be ruined!”

You're analogy only makes sense if there were a constitutional amendment that reads "abortion is illegal" verbatim.
Silly goose, abortion is not a federal matter, your argument fails out of the gate. The Constitution is federal, you see. Abortion laws have been remanded by the court to the states. So, the Constitution speaks not to the concept of abortion. They let your slime blue states do that stuff.
RHP has me on retainer. And don’t need a law license to settle simple logic.

ONE person should not be the basis of US law, either.

Read the Preamble some time. The intention is clear. The COMMON good of all Americans.
You also misunderstand the word welfare in that document . Big time, the way I see it.

Wait!!!! Did you/ Does it , say ALL Americans???? I agree!! All AMERICANS!,

Oops, just lost Suzianne. Marauder, pick up the slack!

The constitution says everyone born here?!?!?!

And you say that the Scotus cannot overrule an amendment. But they can do other things to an amendment, like interpret the amendment. You see that is their number one reason for even existing …to interpret the constitution as same applies to our world. You can call it override if you want to, you can call a guy a girl if you want to, but that don’t make it so.
And you can't WAIT till the ultrarightwingnut SCOTUS majority really FKS up the constitution and stops children born here from becoming citizens.
You really need mental help.

"The 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868 after the Civil War, is a cornerstone of American civil rights, granting citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the U.S. (including formerly enslaved people) and guaranteeing all citizens "equal protection of the laws" and "due process," applying these federal protections to the states. It significantly expanded rights, establishing national citizenship, limiting states from infringing on fundamental rights, and preventing states from denying anyone life, liberty, or property without due process.
Key Provisions of Section 1:
Citizenship Clause: Defines national citizenship.
Privileges or Immunities Clause: Protects rights of national citizenship.
Due Process Clause: Bars states from depriving anyone of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, incorporating the Bill of Rights to the states.
Equal Protection Clause: Requires states to provide equal protection of the laws to all people within their jurisdiction, central to anti-discrimination laws.
