-because raccoons eat our chickens!

According to Representative Ken Buck of Colorado and the millions of gun nuts in America, assault weapons are the only things that could possibly be used to kill predators on farm properties. A .357 or .45 handgun (which could blow a fox, weasel or raccoon to smithereens) is not enough! This is just one reason why meaningful gun legislation is a dim hope. They really are THAT dumb!

One hundred rounds from an AK-47 will take down a T-Rex .

Raccoons do eat chickens. Do you want us to sacrifice our chickens so raccoons can prosper? You are condoning an egg shortage during an avian flu problem making the shortage worse.

You must be a citiot. An idiot city dweller.

I see that reading comprehension is difficult for you. Please go back and read my OP. A .357 or .45 handgun is more than enough to kill a raccoon, you don't need an assault rifle with a high-capacity ammo clip.

You're not the sharpest tool in the shed - are you? 🙄

The AR 15 is not an assault weapon.

Assault weapons are illegal unless you apply for a permit from the government you moron.

You cannot aim a handgun with the same accuracy as a rifle is his point, of course
a handgun would be enough, but those typically are made for short-range targets
and in some cases avoiding or being in hand-to-hand combat.

Cool we're arguing semantics now.

Fine, fukface, whatever kind of a weapon the ar-15 is, the weapon loved by many mass shooters, it should be banned for civilian use. If you're so incompetent you can't kill a coyote with a handgun or a hunting rifle, you're too incompetent to own any gun

Practice then

It is a semi automatic like a lot of other semi automatics that are legal to buy. Make the AR 15 illegal and people will buy other semi automatic rifles. It will accomplish nothing.
You can outlaw anything you want and people will just make guns themselves using 3D printers and a few metal parts easy to obtain. Buying guns is becoming optional with new technology.

I agree; you should practice with both, or your not going to hit what you are
aiming at.

“At present, the material limitations of consumer-grade 3D printers, and the high cost of those small number of industry-grade printers capable of producing objects in metals, means that certain essential pressure-bearing components must either be fabricated from metals using alternative methods or substituted for commercially made parts. In the case of a Glock-series handgun, for example, the frame and magazine body may be printed from PLA while the slide, barrel and trigger would usually be original, factory-made parts. The emergence of other technologies such as ECM and desktop/micro-CNC milling machines have bridged the technological gap, and now mean that viable, capable self-loading hybrid firearms such as the FGC-9 can be produced by the home gunsmith without using any regulated components. Other areas for development, such as the production of 3D-printed ammunition, remain in their infancy.”

Practice all you want but hunting varmints with a handgun is still a short-range proposition of 50 feet or less. Small targets out to 100 yards with a rifle is easy.

So is mass-murdering children.

Then again, why should I care? They're only Colonial children - none of them is worth a human life, anyway.

Stupid comment that has nothing to do with the subject being discussed.
You may as well tell us you like strawberries.
