If every situation where citizens attain unequal outcomes is viewed as a problem that the government should and must solve, then the end result will be communism regardless of what it's called.

Socialist claim to be different from communist, but when I listen to them discuss ideals I don't often detect any evidence that they see any form of inequality as okay.

Prove me wrong. Show me articles written by socialists who present specific inequalities as something that is okay. Not just "okay for now, we'll attack that later", but "not in any way wrong to have in society".

This is almost impossible since you don't know what a "socialist" is or what "socialism" means.

An interesting point is that even in the most centralized state run economy like the USSR there were accepted inequalities; for example, most Soviet workers were paid a "piece rate" meaning those who produced more got paid more:

Actually I can't think of a single example where a "socialist" country changed to a communist system; almost invariably it was a right wing dictatorship being overthrown and replaced by communism.

The point was you clowns keep insisting that "socialism" and "communism" mean there will be no inequality in outcomes no matter what a worker does. If you'd just admit you're wrong, we wouldn't have to give you history lessons.
